Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
As you know, WPA enterprise(EAP/TLS) is using in more and more fields.
Many our customer want to know that when WPA-Enterprise will be supported.
Could you let me know the schedule? (or Roadmap of WICED)
Regards
Steve
Show LessOur hardware guys would like to get details about the dimensions of the boards, the locations and dimensions of the pads etc. and I cannot find such a document on the community documentation. The only thing I could find was the schematic for the module. Can someone please point to me to some additional documentation for the module to help HW engineers integrate the module into our design.
Thanks
Kartik
Show LessHi,
I build, download and run the Sample P2P Application. But it only displayes following messages to the USB UART of the WICED evaluation board,
Platform BCM943362WCD4 initialised
Started ThreadX v5.5
Initialising NetX_Duo v5.6
Creating Packet pools
WWD SDIO interface initialised
There are two problems below
1. No other messages can be seen following the system messages above. I also run another sample scan application, got the same issue. It seems to me no print messages from application_start() can be displayed to the USB UART of the WICED evaluation board.
2. My android Tablet can't find "WICED-P2P" by opening WI-FI setting and enabling WI-FI Direct.
Can you help me out these issues?
Thanks
Show LessI am looking at WICED modules from different vendors and was wondering what exactly the differences between the modules are. Is the difference only in flash memory and ram, or is there differences in clock speed of the M3 core in the interface microcontroller?
Additionally, what is the overhead required in interfacing with the BCM43362? I am considering streaming AES128 encrypted 8 bit audio at around 8k samples/second, would this be possible on the host microcontroller of the WICED module?
I was also wondering if there will be any capability to interface with I^2S microphones. I heard mention of some I^2S support being introduced in the next release of the SDK, but I do not know to what extent.

I'm not having any luck launching the debugger. It looked like I had it running for a while, although it never stopped on any of my breakpoints, so I'm not 100% confident.
I'm using a Murata SN8200EVK, and I've selected the following options on the debug configuration dialog:
Main:
C/C++ Application: build/myApps_myWebServer-SN8200x/Binary/myApps_myWebServer-SN8200x.elf
Project: Wiced-SDK
Build configuration: Use Active
Disable auto build
Debugger:
GDB Command: C:\Users\gluterman\Documents\WICED\WICED-SDK-2.4.1\Wiced-SDK\Tools\ARM_GNU\bin\Win32\arm-none-eabi-gdb.exe
Force thread list update on suspend
Startup:
Halt: add-symbol-file build/eclipse_debug/last_bootloader.elf 0x8000000
Load symbols: Use project binary
Run Commands: stepi
Source:
Default
Common:
Local file
When I try to run the debugger, I get: Error in final launch sequence
Details include Failed to execute MI command:stepiError message from debugger back end:The program is not being run
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Also, we've had a lot of success using our IAR debugger for ARM in the past. Is it possible to use the IAR debugger with this device/library? Or is Eclipse the only way to go?
Thanks.
Show LessHello
In order to simply Wi-Fi configuration setup procedure on our device Wi-Fi client side, we would like to detect a AP’s Wi-Fi security type automatically when establishing Wi-Fi connection.
Is there anyway on this matter?
Best Regards

I modified Library/daemons/http_server/http_server.c to add some extra response headers, but my project still isn't sending the headers. How to I get the IDE to compile and include the new version of this file?
Show LessHello,
This is Sung-Mok Lee working for Exceltech as FAE for WICED. Our customer has a question about audio quality supported in BCM9WCD1AUDIO.
In my sales document, it's described from 44.1KHz to 96KHz, up to 24bits as audio data rates.
However, our customer wants it should be supported up to 192KHz. Is it possible to support?
If it's impossible, could you explain of me why does not support up to 192KHz asap?
Thanks,
SM
