I am using inventek system usb dogle ISM43341 - USB with wiced sdk 3.1.2. Tested bt_smartbridge app which works in central mode. Also gone through all sdk to look for ble app/api's working in peripheral mode; but unable to find out. Can I get ble library /api's which works in peripheral mode?
Show LessI'm using a standard Broadcom Evaluation Board (BCM943341) that provides BLE operation. -- WICED 3.1.1 environment.
However, up to this point, I've only been able to use it in CENTRAL mode. That is, it can't advertise bytes.
This capability has been available in iOS (iPhones, etc.) and, just recently, in Android Lollipop (5.0).
When are we going to have Peripheral mode available for WICED?

Show LessHi,
I am having a WICED BCM943362 board. I am using it for communicating with an external device on RS 485 (MODBUS RTU Protocol) through UART. The IC used for converting the RS485 voltage level to CMOS (3.3v) is SN75HVD12 Half duplex tranceiver IC.
I am sending command to the device through UART and the device responds. This is happening properly for sometime. But after sometime I am getting All Zero Response from the device . For example
TX (command) : 01 03 00 64 00 02 85 d4
RX (Response from device) : 01 03 04 00 00 00 00 fa 33
TX (command) : 01 03 00 64 00 02 85 d4
RX (Response from device) : 01 03 04 00 00 00 00 fa 33
TX (command) : 01 03 00 64 00 02 85 d4
RX (Response from device) : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
TX (command) : 01 03 00 64 00 02 85 d4
RX (Response from device) : 01 03 04 00 00 00 00 fa 33
TX (command) : 01 03 00 64 00 02 85 d4
RX (Response from device) : 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
I am pretty sure the device is responding properly (there is Indication that data is sent). I suspect there is some problem in UART communication. If there problem with the code I have written, then I should not get correct response all the time. But why this inconsistent behaviour?
Please help me in this regard.
Thanks.
Hi All,
We want to implement more efficient uart transferring.
In case wiced_uart_receive_bytes() timeout ( ex. we expect 128 bytes input in 100 ms but only 64 bytes received)
How can we get that actually received number with current API ?
Thanks,
Sam
Show Lesshello ,
at WICED-SDK-3.1.2\Wiced-SDK\tools\create_dct\generate_factory_reset_dct.pl,you can see picture ,
how can i use it to generate factory reset dct,the generate_factory_reset_dct.pl program as below:
the pad_dct.pl program as below:
I never use perl ,help me ...
Thanks!!

Show LessHi,
I am using Murata SN8205 based solution.
Has anyone tried integrating STM USB Virtual COM(VCP) driver into the STM32 MCU, so that we can use the USB like a virtual COM?
The driver need to be ported to the WICED SDK.
Regards,
Karthik
Show LessWe are developing an industrial temperature (-20 C to 70C)
Wearable device with the profile of a watch. I'm wondering about what products Broadcom offers that might meet our needs.
- We would like to have a small profile combination Wifi + Bluetooth module with excellent power dissipation characteristics.
- Wifi / Bluetooth will be used to constantly at a high duty-cycle to send data gathered by the device to a web-service.
- The device will be communicating with an Embedded system
- We don't anticipate having and embedded operating system on the device (No linux, Android or windows)
- So would need to communicate using Some machine to machine protocol (SPI, Serial (AT commands), I2C, whichever. We haven't chosen a microcontoler yet.
- If there isn't any embedded communication options we are open to exploring having an operating system on board. However, microelectronics are seen as necessary for several use case elements as real time response to certain sensor data is essential to the solution. Application processor / Microcontroler / FPGA various technology combination SOICs are of interest to us.
- We don't anticipate having and embedded operating system on the device (No linux, Android or windows)
- Pre-certified modules would be a plus to realize a faster development cycle.
- The device will also have UHF ((902-928Mhz ISM FCC) & ETSI band) broadcasting at ~27dBm systems co-located on the device so having EM shielding / layout recommendations already available for the system would be a plus.
So I have a simple task of reading one bit from WICED-WiFi and send a message to a smart phone via Wifi link.
Which current application in the SDK is the best starting point for me?
Thanks
