Hi,
I do a long time test on demo board of BCM943362WCD4,find wiced_get_available_bus_credits() return 0;how to fix it?
What caused this phenomenon happen?
Thanks
Show LessHi,
The buffer returned by wiced_packet_get_data is not NULL terminated.
So it should not use strstr for the request_string, it should use strnstr
instead.
A similar fix is already made for http server in new SDK,
Just want to point out the ota_server daemon needs fix as well.
BTW, in ota_server.c
I don't understand the purpose of below code snip, can someone explain it?
temp = request_string[ server->request.header_size ];
request_string[ server->request.header_size ] ='\0';
request_string[ server->request.header_size ] = temp;
Show LessHi
I am trying to figure out how to join a STA to an AP with a predefined BSSID.
I have tried wwd_wifi_join_specific but it ignores the BSSID send to it.
Any ideas?
Regards
Jakob
Show LessHI,
I'm facing a strange problem. Whenever device starts and tries to connect to access point, it accesses DCT API to read the configuration and my GPIO pins toggle for flash of a second.
I have a few LEDs connected to GPIOs, and they create a flash every time device tries to access DCT API. I'm unable to solve and am clueless about how to go ahead.
Anyone else faced similar problem??
Show LessHi,
Has anyone been able to integrate STATEVIEWER from high integrity systems into eclipse?
I've been trying to add it,followed the steps mentioned on their link, but I do not see any task/queue in the list. I'm not sure if its an issue at eclipse end or at firmware end.
If anyone has been able to do it, please help, it will be a really great tool for debugging.
Show LessRecently, we setup language translation capabilities here on the Broadcom Community, so I wanted to take a minute to explain how to leverage this feature during your day to day interactions with the Community.
Essentially, we installed a Multi-Language Content plugin on the platform which will allow the seamless translation of native Community platform content into nearly 20 languages. To ensure a quality translation experience, the plugin we use leverages the Microsoft Language Translation Engine on the backend to handle things like language translation, semantics, and training (i.e. teaching/configuring the tool the correct translation when something is found to be incorrect).
Note that this translation capability only includes the translation of content native to the Community platform, such as User Interface Items, Forum Discussions, Announcements, Help Articles, etc.
Unfortunately, the plugin cannot translate actual documentation such as Datasheets, AppNotes, Schematics, etc.
In order to use this feature, you will first need to edit your Preferences so that your preferred language is recognized when logging into the Broadcom Community.
Step 1 - Once logged into the Community, select Preferences from the pull-down menu located beneath your username in the upper right-hand corner of the browser:
Step 2 - Once you land on the Preferences page, scroll down till you see the Language pull-down. Here, you want to select your preferred language. For this example, I have selected Spanish.
Once selected, you will notice that all of the user interface items convert to the language you just selected (for example, from English to Spanish per below)
Step 3 - You will now want to verify that this functionality works. Since most of the content on the community site is created in English, you can go to any Forum Discussion or Help Article to test.
For example, let's look at this one that was recently created in English within the BLE forum:
Note that while my User Interface items appear in Spanish (my preferred language selected in Step 2 above), the post itself appears to me in English.
To translate this to Spanish (the language I configured in Preferences), I would simply click the "TRANSLATE PAGE TO: ES" checkbox shown below (red arrow):
To return to the previous language (the one which the document was created in), simply uncheck the same box.
If you want to test this out using a document created in a language other than English, I created something in Spanish that you can use for testing here:
For those of you that are wondering how this plugin works with other Language preferences, such as those defined within your browser, here's a quick rundown of the precedence/priority defined within the Community platform:
- User preference (described above). If not available or not set, then priority 2.
- User's browser language. If that specific language is not available on the Community platform, then priority 3.
- Community platform default language. If this is not possible for some reason, then priority 4.
- English.
If you run into any issues setting this up, or run into problems with the translation of material on the site, please feel free to respond to this thread and I will look into the issue then respond.
Thanks again for your participation in the Broadcom community and your continued interest in our products and services.
Sincerely,

Show LessHi all,
I tried to develop a simple TCP client to send data to a TCP server using the WICED solution:
Hardware: BCN943362WCD4_3 board
Software: WICED SDK 3.3.1
Two experiments I did:
A. Use WICED API similar to the apps/snip/tcp_client example in the SDK.
B. Use WWD and LwIP socket API similar to the apps/wwd/ping example in the SDK.
It occurs to me the case A TCP client (using WICED API) fails frequently when sending data using wiced_tcp_send_packet(). The case B TCP client (using WWD and LwIP socket API) does not experience errors when sending data.
Questions:
1. Is the wiced_tcp_send_packet() failure a known problem? If so, is there any fix for it?
2. I was able to get by the wiced_tcp_send_packet() problem using LwIP socket API with these 2 options:
a. Using WICED + LwIP socket API
wiced_init( );
wiced_network_up_default();
...
lwip_socket();
b. Using WWD + LwIP socket API
wwd_management_init();
wwd_wifi_join();
...
lwip_socket();
It seems to me the throughput of Option b is better. Is this expected?
What are the differences betweeen Option a and Option b? What do I lose if I use WWD instead of WICED?
Thank you for the help.
