Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
Hi,
Do you have the ways to measure the CPU load/headroom on ThreadX.
I'd like to know the CPU load of each thread and the headroom.
Hope to add the command to console.
regards,

Show LessWe recently upgraded to WICED 3.5.2, but a file name change in the stripped elf that is generated by the build broke our factory install script. In the past each subfolder of WICED-SDK/apps was separated by "_" now for at least one stripped elf, they are separated by "."
Show LessI am returning to working with a WICED evalution kit after a few months and seem to remember that there is a utility for downloading the application to serial flash so that the module will boot up running the application.
Unfortunately after about a half hour search through the documentation and on the web site, I have found nothing on this subject. (I find the organization of the web site to be lacking in general).
Can someone jog my memory so that I know where to look for this utility? Thanks

Show LessI'm designing a custom PCB for a VOIP-only smartphone with no cellular connectivity to function in a corporate wifi environment. Please can someone help me with choosing a chipset and designer/manufacturer.
Show LessAfter uploading the certificate and private key, and selecting a WiFi network to associate with, I see the following screen.
When I view the puTTY terminal I can see that the device fails to associate with the network [below]. I have tried and retried several times making sure the password is correct. Any ideas how to proceed?
Show LessWhen attempting to compile the OpenOCD from it's source directory @
<root>/toosl/OpenOCD/source/...
I found that it wouldn't compile due to incompatibility with clang 3.6.
The error was :
../../../../src/flash/nor/sim3x.c:867:20: error: address of array
'sim3x_info->device_package' will always evaluate to 'true' .
Googling it, it seems that this issue was already resolved, and there is a patch for it.
In ordet to apply the patch into the existing scripts, one would need to:
1. download the attached file and place in under <root>/toosl/OpenOCD/source/patches
2. update the just_oocd.sh and add the patch file name as follows:
git am ../patches/0027-TCL-Delete-files-with-unicode-names-that-MinGW-can-t.patch
git am ../patches/0028-Fix-up-RTOS-implementation-for-FreeRTOS-ThreadX.patch
git am ../patches/0029-Cortex-A-Revert-changes-which-break-the-sflash-write.patch
git am ../patches/169db31a.patch
cd ..
After that, the OpenOCD should be built and run just fine... assuming you already had the Xcode and Xcode command line tools installed. ( OS X only )
I haven't seen that on the SDK build notes, but it's an additional prerequisite that is clearly needed.

Show LessHello,
I have issues/questions with the versions 3.4.0 / 3.5.2. Perhaps someone can dive into the topics and give a feedback.
- SDK 3.4.0 / 3.5.2
- If I use the MQTT-Client (mqtt.c) with a Raspberry PI as a broker it doesn't connect to the broker with FreeRTOS / Lwip. It hangs for about 40s and then reboots. I think it hangs by opening the tcp socket.
- If I use this setup with NetX/ThreadX combination it works as expected.
- SDK 3.4.0
- Sometime the system hangs sporadically for about 40s and then reboots. What could be cause for the hanging?
- Could it be a problem within the wifi firmware?
- Is there a callback function (interface for internal asynchronous call) to inform the user that the connection was lost?
Best regards
Mike
Show LessI am working on Murata SN8200 WiFi Module, where my device works in a Soft AP Mode.
I establish a TCP socket connection with a client and push data on to the socket regularly.
I see that TCP socket connection fails after 12 Hours. Not able to figure out the reason for this.
Any one has faced similar issues???

Show LessHi ,
Greetings 🙂
We are developing HomeKit compliant product and planning to WICED with STM32. For the same, our hardware supplier is recommending BCM43438. But based on the community mailing list, we realize that this is not a mass market supported Broadcom. [Bcm43438, which version of WICED sdk can use ? ]
Hence, was interested in knowing whether BCM4343W can be considered as replacement for BCM43438.
Please let us know.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Gupta
on the bcm94331 eval board I have connected a modem on one of the uart ports. I need to use the modem to communicate with a mqtt broker.
I tried looking through the mqtt protocol code provided but got lost following the tcp calls that lead into the wifi driver. I need to replace the wifi driver with a modem driver that communicates over the uart connection through at commands. Any pounters would be greatly appreciated.
