Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
Hi,
We are working on BCM43362 based WiFi Murata module with ARM Cortex M4 based platform. The WICED SDK version we are using is 3.5.2
From this link, How many clients are supported by the softAP? we could find that maximum number of clients supported is 5.
When we tried setting this maximum client count to 5 using IOVAR_STR_MAX_ASSOC, we get return code as WWD_WLAN_RANGE, which means specified value is not in range. We could not find any information about this in README.txt as well. Is this value of 5 clients still valid with SDK version 3.5.2?
Where can we find latest/updated correct information about this?
Thanks & Regards,
Pratik.
Show LessTesting a static variable certificate_loaded is simply wrong.
If create 2 threads to connect server with different URL paths,
the fist thread test certificate_loaded and init tls identity, the second
thread will NOT init tls identity.
In additional, use strlen( dct_security->private_key ) and strlen( dct_security->certificate ) are also buggy.
How do you make sure the private_key and certificate read from DCT is NULL terminated?
Think about the case write a longer cert/key to DCT then override it with a shorter cert/key.
Then you got wrong length by strlen().
Show LessHello,
What would you propose to create unique DCT's that contains unique certificates and keys for each other device in production. I know that in SDK 2.4.x there was a way to create DCT's, but how can we do this in 3.5.x or later?
Thank you.
Show LessHi ..
I am using Discover Wifi sn8200 (bcm 43362)board , for flashing i am using ST-LINK/V2 In Circuit Debugger/Programmer , Instead of this can i use Segger J-link ??
Show LessHi there, I am a green bird with WICED SDK and are there any API to create a gerneral timer?I want to create a gerneral timer which has interrupt and I want to do something when it timeout.Besides I want to change the interval of it.Are there any ideas?
Show LessHi
I want to have 3 apps in the external flash from which I can switch between these three apps using wiced_framework_set_boot() function and wiced_framework_reboot()
I am using a prototype board with STMF405 and has an external flash of 4MB. I am able to flash the apps at different locations using sflash_write.tcl but I am not able to switch between the apps.
I am able to do the switching with the Avnet IOT starter kit when I am flashing the images to external flash via the download_apps command
As of now to find the start address to which I should flash the images, I am first flashing to the AVNET Board with the download_apps option and using the same address for my prototype board. But that doesn't seems to work.
1) How I can modify my script so that I will get the proper address at which I can flash all the apps and hope that it solves my issue with rebooting with the new Image.
2) Is the address going wrong or is there any other issues that is preventing me from booting with the new app.
3) And also what or how exactly the wiced_framework_set_boot() function determines the address at which it should look for the image in external flash
I am able to do an OTA upgrade using ota_fr app in my prototype board

In case of auto antenna diversity, i.e. when WICED_ANTENNA_AUTO is passed to wwd_wifi_select_antenna(), the best antenna is automatically selected.
In case of auto diversity, how the decision of best antenna is done?
It will be very helpful if you could point to us to the document which will shade more light on auto antenna diversity.
Thanks & Regards,

Show LessHello, I have some very urgent questions, can these be answered today? These questions arise due to logistics issues, using BCM43341 in place of BCM43340 in a design.
1 This looks to be correct, but I want to confirm: Outside the NFC functionality, is the BCM43341 a direct replacement for the BCM43340? Everything about the radio HW and FW interaction are the same?
2. If BCM43341 without enabling NFC were used to replace the BCM43340, would there be any implementation differences?
3. With the attached schematic, given the No connect or Ground states of the NFC specific pins, could the BCM43341 be a drop in replacement here??
Thank you so much for your help
