Show LessHi All,
Anyone working on wifi module with support of cypress?
Is WICED supports cypress, what is the hardware module for this and how to interface to cypress board?
We want to implement wifi cloud connectivity using cypress micro controller.
Please provide the interface and hardware module suggestible for implementing wifi on cypress.
I found some of the module ESP2866 WiFi module, is this module supports cypress?
Please suggest anyone..
Show LessHi there,
I am using WICED-Studio-4.0 and trying to port OTA2 to STM32F4xx platform. After digging the source code and reading the WICED-OTA2.pdf, I get lost at the boot procedure.
1. The PDF says that we must define "CURRENT_APPLICATION_USES_INTERNAL_FLASH" in the application make file, which will not download the APP0 to the external serial flash and the APP0 is extracted from OTA2 image to the internal application area directly if needed. That means the APP0 area of the external serial flash will never has a valid APP0.
2. According to the "ota2_bootloader.c", it sets the APP0 as the load program every time it starts up. We assume that there is no OTA2 image available for extracting, nor factory reset button pressed after power on, then the bootloader will load the APP0 from the external serial flash.
How could the bootloader load the APP0 from the external serial flash while the APP0 is empty?
Did I miss something? Any tips and explanation would be appreciated!
Best regards,
Guohui
Show LessThe CHANGELOG.txt in WICED-SDK-4.0.0.7z lists, as a change in WICED-SDK 4.0:
"New WLAN firmware 5.90.230.15 for 43362"
We are already using 5.90.230.15, because that was the version released in WICED-3.7.0-3, as is visible from "strings 43362A2.bin | grep 230". However, the 43362A2.bin inside WICED-4.0.0 is indeed different (according to shasum). Have Cypress released two different firmwares with the same version number?

Show LessHello,
I’m new to WICED Wi-Fi.Recently, I bought a BCM943364WCD1_EVB Evaluation and Development Kit from an agent.I see the Block Diagram on the datasheet as shown below:
Now,I have some questions:
1、CYW43364 has two Cortex M3 Core?
2、If the CYW43364 has only one Cortex M3 core,Why there are three JTAG interface?
3、The upper part of the block diagram indicates whether CYW43364 requires an external MCU to drive or an external MCU is optional?
4、The following part of the block diagram indicates that the CYW43364 can be directly programmed and debugged via the JTAG interface?
5、What is the role of STMF411 on the BCM943364WCD1_EVB Evaluation and Development Kit?
Somebody can help me?Million of thanks.
Show LessHi kausik
I hit a more critical issue while testing sdk-3.7.0-7.
It seems once ble start scaning, the device's wifi network becomes unreachable.
My test application does below steps:
1) device join AP and start a tcp server ( you can copy the code from snip.tcp_server )
2) do delay 20 seconds (on purpose... I can see ping ok during this period)
3) wiced_bt_stack_init()...
then wiced_bt_ble_observe() or wiced_bt_ble_scan() in bt_init callback.
4) ping no longer response after got the first ble scan result
Note, I also try comment out wiced_bt_ble_observe() or wiced_bt_ble_scan() call
I still got ping unreachable after calling wiced_bt_stack_init() for 1 or 2 seconds.
So I think the most easy way for you to test is to modify snip.tcp_server and adding wiced_bt_stack_init().
I use ping device the check network status:

....
PS. I use FreeRTOS+Lwip build but I also notice exactly the same issue on ThreadX+NetX build.
Show LessHello,
At least 2 examples from Wiced studio 4.0.1 implement provisioning webpage:
- demo.aws_iot.shadow
- snip.config_mode
I see the following issues on above examples:
1. Scan waits forever: in process_scan the call to func wiced_wifi_scan_networks() is almost always failing and the code hangs for end of scan on the next wiced_rtos_get_semaphore() call. When only doing scan operation it works fine, however mixing TCP transaction and performing scan result in error being yield from wwd_wifi_scan() and underlying functions.
2. Manually entering the credentials does not seem to work. I tried all encryptions provided on the provisioning webpage with appropriate username/pass, my IOT module never connects to my home AP after completing the provisioning session normally.
Can you confirm these issues?
Thanks.
