Enjoy building IoT with WICED!
Show LessI have been trying to install Wiced Studio 5.0. The SDK files were not present even after multiple installations and I had to put them in manually. However, the make targets still do not appear. If someone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it.

Show LessDoes the BCM4343w module support the security feature in Bluetooth Low Energy?
In the WICED stack, we were able to find some security key parameters for ex:- Long Term Key, Random number etc (found in the wiced_bt_dev.h file) but we could not find API to set security mode or to set security key or encrypt communication. I searched for security API's in WICED stack but could not find any security related API.
Is there any way for starting the encryption, setting security keys through WICED stack in case of BLE module BCM 4343w?

Show LessHi,
The scan snip code can return a list of APs including the AP using enterprise security.
However, the output does not tell which eap_type is being used if an AP is using enterprise security.
How to differentiate the enterprise security type (eap_type) for enterprise security via scan result?
Show LessHi,
I am using Wiced-studio 4.1.0 and Threadx.
I am working tcp_client application.In that they have created registered timed events.In stead of timed events I want to create a thread to handle .
Can anyone help me how to create a tcp_client thread.
Show LessHi,
I am using wiced 4.1.0 version and RTOS is Threadx.Network is NetX_Duo.
I took tcp_client application which is present in snip as a reference.In that application 1 client can communicate with the one server.
I want to develop the existing application in which one client can communicate to multiple servers.
can anyone provide me some sample applications or else suggestions to proceed further.
One approach I am thinking is to create threads for each server.If that is the case then if suddenly one server no longer exists and memory will be wasted for that.How do client comes to know that the server is no longer present?
Show LessHi,
After finished concurrent operation test (Station / Soft AP ), now I'am testing iperf on concurrent mode, however I have no idea
how can I give interface against the iperf command.
On concurrent operation there should be two interface alive in the concurrent mode that I mentioned above,
one will be station interface and the other will be Soft AP interface, however there's no interface parameter as iperf function parameters
For example, if I give "iperf -s" when the two interface (station/SoftAP) alive , what interface will be feed this parameter?
I try to find the example code in the SDK but I couldn't.

Show LessHi, All
I'm testing concurrent operation(SoftAp + station) with BCM94343WWCD1 EVB,
however it doesn't seem to work correctly.
Does BCM94343WWCD1 support (AP+station or any other combination like AP+GO) concurrent operation?
If it doesn't, is there any schedule for the feature?

Show LessHello,
I was running a unit on WICED-SDK-3.7.0 but after upgrading WICED to 5.0.0 I face some problems running it,
however I see a difference in the DCT section as mentioned below .I saw also other discussion about an offset in DCT_APP_SECTION. , which I supppose is creating a problem
/* OLD DCT section */
typedef enum
{
DCT_APP_SECTION,
DCT_SECURITY_SECTION,
DCT_MFG_INFO_SECTION,
DCT_WIFI_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_INTERNAL_SECTION, /* Do not use in apps */
DCT_ETHERNET_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_NETWORK_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_BT_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_P2P_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_OTA2_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_VERSION_SECTION, /* Do not use in apps */
} dct_section_t;
/* NEW DCT section */
typedef enum
{
DCT_APP_SECTION,
DCT_HK_INFO_SECTION,
DCT_SECURITY_SECTION,
DCT_MFG_INFO_SECTION,
DCT_WIFI_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_INTERNAL_SECTION, /* Do not use in apps */
DCT_ETHERNET_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_NETWORK_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_BT_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_P2P_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_OTA2_CONFIG_SECTION,
DCT_VERSION_SECTION, /* Do not use in apps */
DCT_MISC_SECTION,
} dct_section_t;
Is there a best practice for saving my old configuration before the update and restore it after ( due to differences in DCT )?
Also, I found this morning a new version of WICED (5.0.1) with this modifications :
* [all WiFi] Speed up DCT reads by keeping track of current DCT verification
* [all WiFi] Updated DCT padding to be multiple of 8-bytes for backward compatibility in OTA2
It is amendment can solve my problem ?
