Wi-Fi Combo Forum Discussions
Hello all,
I'm trying to check about it connect the P2P-GC with 43907(using test/console wiced sample apps) to Autonomous GO on 43455(Linux).
It can connect the P2P-GC with 43907 to Autonomous GO on 43455 with 2.4GHz CH.
However, it can not connect to Autonomous GO on 43455 with 5GHz CH.
## It do not found 5GHz p2p device on test/console app(using p2p_connect pbc command ).
Test step
1. Start 43455 p2p GO(36 CH) and dhcp server on linux kernl 4.9 and using FMAC release at 2019-05-08
2. enter wps_pbc connamd with p2p-go i/f using wpa_cli on 43455 linux
3. enter this command on test/console apps on WICED 43907 devise
p2p_connect pbc
** Do not found p2p device(43455) from 43907 device
4. Start 43455 p2p GO(6 CH) and dhcp server on linux kernl 4.9 and using FMAC release at 2019-05-08
5. enter wps_pbc connamd with p2p-go i/f using wpa_cli on 43455 linux
6. enter this command on test/console apps on WICED 43907 devise
p2p_connect pbc
** The 43907 device can found p2p-go device and connect it.
##Please see attached file.
## The Country code is not set on both device ( Country code is default)
It do not seems to occur the issue on 43455 when it connect Nexus6 p2p to 43455 p2p-GO(5GHz).
So,there is no issue for 43455 p2p-GO.
And It can connect to AP(5GHz ch) ,so, 43907 have features of the connecting 5GHz .
Q1.Is this WICED Studio version supported the connecting p2p-go (5GHz ch) by Wicied libraries?
I check Wicied libraries code.
I do not seem to support this in the library.
I do not seems to found to set reg_class of channel in code.
Is this support connecting p2p-go (5GHz) at this library?
Q2. Please advise how to connect p2p-go(5GHz) if this is supported to conenct 5GHz GO.
I see the wiced code, however I do not know how to setup connecting p2p GO(5GHz).
Please advise how to connect p2p-go(5GHz).
Q3.Do you have to plan to support the features of P2P-GO(5GHz) in WICED library if it do not support 5GHz p2p-go?
Or how to modify the WICED library code?
We wish to support the connecting to p2p-GO(5GHz) .
Please advise.
Thanks,,

Show LessFor the CYW43438 chipset, how many STA (client devices) can be supported while in AP + STA mode?
This chip is attached to a remote Access Point as as a STA client plus it also serves as an access point (AP) for other nearby STA clients.
How many of these nearby STA client devices can be connected? Is it a hardware or drive/firmware limitation?
Thanks,
Mike
Show Lessrespected sir/mam
now, i'm using CYW54907 and initialize WiFi Access-point in this board. and i'm able to analysis WiFi beacon frame in wire-shark software.
now, i need to add my own Tag(IE = information element) in my WiFi.. so, i want to know that is there any kind of API function or any suggestion from you.. like how can i add my tag.

Show LessHello all using cyw94343, cypress has only 2 PWM cpio's assigned with this model, I need to create a total of 4 - 6 to control motors, driven off this
device. Which libraries do i need to add to or duplicate from give me a total 4 or 6 assignment's of GPIO's to test this with. This being software driven are
their specific physical restrictions in re-using the existing non pwm GPIO's, and re-assigning them to PWM GPIO actions, it should be a library assignment and header .h
creation or duplication issue ??
Let me know if i'm off track here thanks ahead of time to y'all.
Show LessHi,
I am using Nebula IOT dev kit rev 2.0 and I am trying to test Serial Gatt Service with it.
I am using my own Android application that I wrote and work with different BLE chip. I am trying to connect using my Android Application to SGS and I connect with success.
I have few problems:
1. During SGS startup I have several Unhandled Bluetooth Management Event

2. The second problem starts when I send 10 bytes packet from my Android application to SGS and my MTU changed from 10 to 1546 .
I happens in the next line where p = 10 and p_mtu is 1546. ( Line 1227 in serial_gatt_service.c)

Show LessContext is this thread I created earlier Can I send frames directly to an lwIP interface on a CYW43340?
When I compile 43xxx_Wi-Fi/apps/wwd/ping with FreeRTOS and LwIP it does so without any error messages. I want to use this code as a starting point for my project, so I coppied it to a different folder so it's now under 43xxx_Wi-Fi/apps/c4/lwiptest. I get the following errors when I try to compile it.

Show LessI was trying to demonstrate the Secure_Mqtt snip project to a customer today but ran in to some problems.
if i wanted to use the Mosquitto broker, can you explain the steps required to setup and configure the demo on Windows PCs?
Every time i tried i just got the error "Did you configure your Broker IP Address?
But i don't know how to actually configure the Broker or set up the Windows side of it.
Do we have any guidance on how to do this for Mosquitto or any other free easy to access brokers?
thanks

Show LessSection 3.1 of WICED Enterprise Security User Guide** lists six kits that support Enterprise security.
The base components from those kits are:
CYW43907
CYW43340
CYW43364
CYW43438
CYW4343W
CYW43362
How will follow on components be confirmed to support Enterprise Security?
Will there be a list of newer parts that support Enterprise security or are the features within a component that are required to support network security already identified. If the features are identified, any component's support for Enterprise Security can be evaluated based on comparison to the list of required features.
It is critical for designers to be certain their products will be compatible with the majority of enterprise network environments.
