Hi,

we are searching for a chip/solution to build up a large-scale 802.11s mesh network.

It is going to be used as a backbone for a control application to connect multiple 802.15.4 networks. Therefore, a 5 GHz solution would be preferred.

On the software side we would either use Linux (with the potential time-consuming task of writing a kernel driver for the chip) or an existing stack with 802.11s support (WICED?).

Any suggestions?

Greetings,

Florian

Since WICED is targeted for IoT applications so 5GHz is not typically needed.  I will have to see where we stand on any type of mesh support,

Any new news on 802.11s mesh support for the WICED stack?  We too would like to implement it in our solution.
