While taking power consumption measurements using the Broadcom BCM943362WCD4 module (WICED SDK version 2.3.1) we have noticed that, when WLAN powersave is enabled, there is about a one-second interval after association has been completed with the access point before the module actually puts the radio to sleep. During this one-second interval our measurements indicate that the radio is kept in a powered-up state. Is this by design? Ive attached a zip file containing the test application weve been using to take the measurements along with instructions.

This is not so much by design, but a result of unfinished work on optimisation of system power consumption
