Hello,
I am running wl command sequences and the pkteng_start/stop fails with error -23 each time.
Module is CYW43455 / BCM43455
here is the sequence of commands for Rx:
wlarm_le down
wlarm_le country IT
wlarm_le band b
wlarm_le chanspec 7/20
Chanspec set to 0x1007
wlarm_le scansuppress 1
wlarm_le up
wlarm_le txpwr1 -1
wlarm_le pkteng_start DC:A6:32:76:87:A6 rx
wlarm_le: error -23
wlarm_le pkteng_stop rx
wlarm_le: error -23
wlarm_le pkteng_stop tx
wlarm_le: error -23
For Tx the command gives the help:
wlarm_le down
wlarm_le country IT
wlarm_le band b
wlarm_le chanspec 7/20
Chanspec set to 0x1007
wlarm_le scansuppress 1
wlarm_le up
wlarm_le txpwr1 -1
wlarm_le pkteng_start 11:22:33:44:55:66 tx
pkteng_start
start packet engine tx usage: wl pkteng_start <xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx> <tx|txwithack> [(async)|sync |sync_unblk] [ipg] [len] [nframes] [src]
start packet engine rx usage: wl pkteng_start <xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx> <rx|rxwithack> [(async)|sync] [rxframes] [rxtimeout]
sync: synchronous mode
sync_unblk: synchronous unblock mode
ipg: inter packet gap in us
len: packet length
nframes: number of frames; 0 indicates continuous tx test
src: source mac address
rxframes: number of receive frames (sync mode only)
rxtimeout: maximum timout in msec (sync mode only)
wlarm_le pkteng_stop tx
wlarm_le: error -23
Maybe I am missing some settings before the pkteng_start command?
Thanks,
Adriano

Hi adrix!
Just to confirm, are you using the Raspberry Pi OS 32 bit with the mfg firmware? Because error -23 is for unsupported command, so not using mfg FW could be one of the issues.

I am on the Rpi 4, Linux 32 , using the standard fw. Still I was not able to get the manufacturing FW, should I ask to Raspberry?

Hi Adrix,
The mgf FW will be provided by us, but it cannot be shared with the public community., I will create a case on mycases on behalf of you since you were facing problems creating a case. I will share the firmware there.
