Show LessHi there,
We are trying to fcc wifi certify our project which uses a custom buildroot toolchain and arm processor.
We need help to compile the wl_tool so we can proceed with certification, but we need it to be cross compiled for our architecture (arm 32bit).
Can I ask a representative to help us to compile it with our custom toolchain?
CPU Info:
- armv7l
- little-endian
- hard-float ABI
- neon/vfpv4
Custom Toolchain Instructions:
- download toolchain
- extract toolchain:
tar jxf arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf_sdk-buildroot_2021.02.1.tar.xz - cd to arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf_sdk-buildroot
- ./relocate_sdk.sh
- add toolchain into path e.g.
export PATH="$PATH:$PWD/usr/bin" - Set cross compile variables:
export ARCH=arm
export CROSS_COMPILE=arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf-

Hi All,
I was searching for WL Tools for Android and found that for ARM system, there is pre-built binary package available as part of supporting i.MX [Quick Start with iMX6 Ultralite EVK and Mass Market Modules ]. Can we get similar tools package for x86 Based Linux/Android platform. We are using BCM4343W platform.
Please let us know.
Thanks and regards,
Gupta
Does the brcmfmac driver support WL tools?
As many may know the BT4.1 spec is a little tricky as you can say a module or device is 4.1 compliant while only supporting some of the 4.1 features (you don't have to support them all). With that being said what specific BT4.1 features does the BCM4343w support? Most importantly in my endeavor, does it support simultaneous central and peripheral role actions?
Thanks in advance.
Show LessWe use the BCM53128IQLE in unmanaged mode using the reference schematic BCM53128R_Eval_Schem. At power on, the LNK/ACT leds light for approx. 1 second and then turn off and then operate as expected when an Ethernet cable is plugged in (LED comes on when a cable is plugged in and blinks off when activity is detected). On some boards, a LNK/ACT led remains on after power on and then operates in reverse when a cable is plugged in - it goes off when a cable is plugged in and blinks on when activity is detected.
I assume that a power-on selftest operates and is showing something wrong, but I can't find anything in the data sheet that explains this. What is this LNK/ACT led indicating?
Regards.
Show LessHi,
Currently we were using BCM43436L, and this in not a WICED supported chip. So we want to replace it with BCM4343A1 chip. I think this chip WICED supported.
1. Do the driver for this chip is available in Broadcom community and supports android? or we need to get it from the distributor?
2. Along with driver "wl" and "bl" tool will provided or it is provided as a separate package?
Thanks
Show LessHi,
I am trying to find out wl and bl tools, but i am not able find it after building the image. Do i need to enable any MACRO's in Makefile or need to download it and integrate it into the build system. Please provide some information regarding this. Thanks in advance.
Show LessHello vsb
Based on your answers provided in the other thread, for which I am thankful for, I have additional questions:
In the imx6ul-evk-btwifi.dtsi file, it mentions in the comments that
" This DTS file is written for plugging in Murata Wi-Fi/BT EVK into Slot * SD1 and using Murata i.MX InterConnect Ver 2.0 Adapter. Bluetooth UART & control signals are connected via ribbon cable (J1701 connector)."
However, I've noticed that the pin control for wlreg_on is
gpio5_1 [
MX6UL_PAD_SNVS_TAMPER1__GPIO5_IO01]
which is not wired to imx6ul-EVK J1701.
Can you elaborate on how the 4343 WLREG_ON is controlled?
- Is WL_HOST_WAKE requied for the bcmdhd driver.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Show LessHello,
Can anyone provide the device tree source file (.dts) for imx6ul-14x14-evk-mv2.dtb or provide information as to where it can be found? It will be used with fsl-image-gui-x11-imx6ulevk.sdcard image, the bcmdhd driver and 4343W FW.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Show LessHi,
Seems in POS applications everything lower than BLE4.2 is not allowed because of security issues.
I can’t find any info on how to disable only the BLE part in the Murata module (based on BCM4343W).
Is this possible to have only Wifi and BT running without BLE active ?
Thanks
