Show LessHi there,
We are trying to fcc wifi certify our project which uses a custom buildroot toolchain and arm processor.
We need help to compile the wl_tool so we can proceed with certification, but we need it to be cross compiled for our architecture (arm 32bit).
Can I ask a representative to help us to compile it with our custom toolchain?
CPU Info:
- armv7l
- little-endian
- hard-float ABI
- neon/vfpv4
Custom Toolchain Instructions:
- download toolchain
- extract toolchain:
tar jxf arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf_sdk-buildroot_2021.02.1.tar.xz - cd to arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf_sdk-buildroot
- ./relocate_sdk.sh
- add toolchain into path e.g.
export PATH="$PATH:$PWD/usr/bin" - Set cross compile variables:
export ARCH=arm
export CROSS_COMPILE=arm-co6-linux-uclibcgnueabihf-
Tagging @VinayakS_26 / @raks_99 / @DoubleLo as I found they have helped another customer to do this.

Hi All,
I am checking the README file content in FMAC Driver Package (v4.14.52-2018_0928)
I have a question about "Supported Features" with README file content .
[Question]
WPA3-personal feature is supported with 43455/43012.
Does this feature use the wpa_supplicant ?
Or idsup (in-device-supplicant) ?
Best Regards,
Sakagami
Dose bcmdhd/cywdhd driver has an official git repo?
What is the bcmdhd/cywdhd release mode or strategy.
We are going to use cyw wifi chip to build a longtime supporting community board. So the upstream of code is very important.

Show LessHi all,
I am using a Wifi/BT module containing CYW43438 connected to a RPI3CM. Wifi Works fine, BT no.
I connected only Rx TX to RPI and starting hciattach on raspbian it goes in timeout:
hciattach /dev/ttyAMA0 bcm43xx-3wire 115200 noflow -
bcm43xx_init
Initialization timed out.
On the module RTS is float CTS is pulldown.
Looking at the signals and decoding them, I see that the chip reply to the first command but not to the second one asking the chip name.
0x01 0x03 0x0C 0x00 <-- reset chip
0x04 0x0E 0x04 0x01 0x03 0x0C 0x00
0x01 0x14 0x0C 0x00 <-- asking for chip name
-- no answer
Can you help me to understand why the communication doesn't continue in order to setup the device completely?
Linux raspberrypi 4.14.68-v7+
bluez/stable,now 5.43-2+rpt2+deb9u2
bluez-firmware/stable,now 1.2-3+rpt6
pi-bluetooth/stable,now 0.1.9
My impression is that H% 3wire uart it is not properly configured and the chip look at the CTS signal anyway.
If I remove the pulldown on CTS, disappear also the fir reply to the reset command. So it seems the chip take the CTS status into account.
But I would like to use it managing only Rx and TX
Thanks
Mimmo
Show LessWe are integrating an i.MX7S MCU with a Murata module that uses the CYW43455 WiFi/BT chipset and our customer has a question as to whether this solution supports 802.11 monitor mode.
From my research, it seems like Yocto Linux supports the full 802.11 spec, so that should support monitor mode, but are there any restrictions on the CYW43455 that would prevent 802.11 monitor mode from functioning on this combo?
Show LessOur group is developing a product based on the Technexion IMX7 PicoSOM. This System on Module has a Broadcom 4339 wireless chip which we need to access. The brcmfmac driver doesn't work with the 4339 on our device right now but the old bcmdhd driver does. Is bcmdhd still being maintained, is using it in new development reasonable, and if so, who does one need to talk to in order to get it? Also, what is the recommended channel for getting brcmfmac fixed for the 4339 on the IMX7? I've started by raising the question on the Linux wifi mailing lists.
Thanks in Advance,
Cameron Kellough
Show LessHi All,
I am trying to port cyw43455 wifi/bt on imx8mevk. I am able to figure out dts node for bluetooth porting pins but confused when porting wifi related configurations.
Below are the pin and port details I am using
wifi --> sdio
BT --> UART2.
NET NAME | IMX8 Pin name |
BT_REG_ON | NAND_CLE |
WL_REG_ON | NAND_CE2_B |
BT_HOST_WAKE | NAND_DQS |
BT_DEV_WAKE | NAND_CE1_B |
REF_CLK_32K | GPIO1_IO00 |
SD1_CMD | SD1_CMD |
SD1_DATA0 | SD1_DATA0 |
SD1_DATA1 | SD1_DATA1 |
SD1_DATA2 | SD1_DATA2 |
SD1_DATA3 | SD1_DATA3 |
SD1_CLK | SD1_CLK |
UART2_RXD | UART2_RXD |
UART2_TXD | UART2_TXD |

SAI5_RXD1 | L4 |
SAI3_TXFS | G3 |
SAI3_TXC | C4 |
SAI3_TXD | C3 |
SAI3_RXD | F3 |
Here we are using both 1.8v for VIO and 3.3v for VBAT_LDO, but I don't have any clue how to configure VIO and VBAT in dts file. Please find attached dts prepared for above configuration. Please correct me if anything is wrong and help me how to add vio and vbat configuration in dts.
Show LessDear CY engineers,
Hardware: Ti's AM5728 + CY43455
Software: Linux4.9.28
It seems the brcmfmac driver is not stable with TI's SOC especially when doing a heavy throughput testing such as iperf.
But this can not happen on NXP's SOC for example i.Max6.

Show LessHi all,
I'm using a BCM43455 with driver bcmdhd v1.363.59.144.9 and I've been trying to get the wifi module in AP mode with two SSIDs. One SSID should be on 2.4GHz band and the other on 5GHz band. I've tried to get this working with hostapd but I haven't been successful.
Is this possible to achieve with this module?
