Hi IFX team,
I have one question about ACS (Automatic Channel Select) feature on Type1XZ (CYW54591).

I found that our NB can’t find Wi-Fi AP after setting channel=0 in hostapd.conf.

Although I found that there is a similar question about ACS feature on another topic, it’s related to Type1MW (CYW43455), not exactly the same IC.

Therefore, I’m wondering whether CYW54591 have the same condition as CYW43455 that ACS is not supported in WLAN FW?

Could you help me to check?

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes, it will be good to create a case to track the progress. I'll share the details over there.

Thanks

Aditi

Hi,

CYW54591 supports ACS functionality. What is the firmware version in your setup? Can you provide the firmware(.bin file)?

Thanks

Thanks for the update. Can you try once with the latest firmware release and let me know if you still face issues?

Hi Aditi,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

We already tested this latest FW before, but it still failed to test ACS.

Detailed test information is below.

P.S. The hostapd has enabled the CONFIG_ACS configuration.

  • Test channel acs_survey logs as the attached file, “V5.15.58_channel_acs_survey_0321.logs”
    Line 383, vi hostapd.conf
    Line 401, start WiFi AP
Line 428, Turn on WiFi AP Success.
    Line 434, ifconfig
    Line 539, ps without hostapd
    Line 556, restart WiFi AP
    Line 628, ps without hostapd
  • Test channel 0 logs as the attached file, “V5.15.58_channel0_0321.logs”
    Line 331, start WiFi AP
Line 359, Turn on WiFi AP Success.
    Line 427, ps without hostapd
    Line 443, restart WiFi AP
    Line 521, ps without hostap
    Line 525, ifconfig
    Line 568, WiFi FW version

Hi Aditi,

Thanks for your support.

May I know is there any update regarding to this topic?

Should I issue a case of it to trace the progress?
