Hi Cypress,
Our customer is using fmac-v4.14.77-2019_0505 package for CYW4343W. I need to Cypress confirm if CYW4343W supports for WPA3 as STA and WPA3/2 mixed as Soft_AP.
Q1) When I check the string "sae" in f/w bin(brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin), the string is shown. But it doesn't look support for the feature in README. Which one is correct? README shows like as,
Supported Features
-----------------
* Concurrent APSTA
* P2P
* Out-of-band (OOB) interrupt
* CLM download (43455/4343w/4354/4356/43012/89342/89359/4373)
* Wake on Wireless LAN
* Voice enterprise (43455)
* PMF
* WPA3 (43455)
* RSDB (89342/89359)
* Thermal throttling (4343w)
* Fast roaming (89342)
Q2) If 4343W supports for WPA3 - personal as STA, it also supports for WPA3/2 mixed mode as Soft_AP?
Q3) If not supports for WPA3 with fmac-v4.14.77-2019_0505 , what about another fmac version?
Thanks,
Liam

Hi GauravS,
Thanks for your update. But I am still confusing about WPA3-STA for 4343W.
As you can see, WPA3-STA for 4343W is unchecked in the "Supported Features" table of following link. Is it incorrect? So, there is no problem in using WPA3-STA with 4343W?

Thanks,

WPA3 STA is supported in 4343W latest firmware. You can check the firmware build strings, you will find -sae- which is for WPA3. The "Supported features" table seems to be incorrect. I will take this as a feedback to the internal team.
