FYI: For those who have tested with snip.email, you may find incompatibility with some SMTP servers out there.
I had to make two modifications to the WICED file smtp.c:
1. Some servers respond with "250 AUTH=LOGIN", which causes the reply check to fail.
2. A space should not be added to the end of a username or password reply.
The following is representative of the changes required:
wiced_result_t wiced_smtp_send( wiced_email_account_t* account, const wiced_email_t* email )
{
...
/* Check if authentication is required */
// SMTP server may reply with "AUTH=LOGIN", not with "AUTH LOGIN"
//if ( strnstrn( reply, length, smtp_auth_login, sizeof(smtp_auth_login) - 1 ) )
if ( strnstrn( reply, length, "AUTH", sizeof("AUTH") - 1 ) )
{
...
}
and
static wiced_result_t send_smtp_command( wiced_tcp_socket_t *socket, const char *command, uint8_t command_length, const char* params, uint16_t params_length )
{
...
// Add space only when there are parameters to send (i.e., otherwise username/password auth fails)
if (params_length > 0)
{
memcpy( (void*) data, (void*) smtp_space, GET_CONST_BUF_LENGTH(smtp_space) );
data += GET_CONST_BUF_LENGTH(smtp_space);
}
...
}
I hope this helps someone out there.

AN225347 introduces you to the Cypress CLM regulatory compliance process and the steps required to submit a regulatory configuration to Cypress. This application note will provide background on various WiFi requirements and technical details as it pertains for regulatory certification. At the end of this application note, you will understand how to test your Cypress WiFi system to confirm output power targets, how to transfer confirmed power targets to the Cypress submission template, and how to integrate the resulting output into your final product. In addition, this application note will provide guidance related to SKU planning related to manufacturing your WiFi enabled product.
Show LessHi,
I am evaluating the (CYW43362)BCM943362WCD4_EVB Evaluation kit and I want to measuere the power consumption and Tx and Rx throughputs of this board. For that I need a power save application as well as throughput application and corresponding reference power and throughput values. It would be great help if any one can help me to get this information?. currently I am using the Wiced studio SDK -6.2.1. I have tried the reference poer save application but got compilation error that "This application was not supported with this platform". kit and I want to measuere the power consumption and Tx and Rx throughputs of this board. Show LessHey there,
I am currently looking for shutter glasses equipped with a Bluetooth chip from Cypress. These glasses should be controlled by a WICED application. Unfortunately there is very little information available on the manufacturer's website, so I would like to know if one of you has any information or can recommend a source to me?
Many thanks in advance
Luisa

function platform_write_flash_chunk()
When a large app should be loaded (~765952 Bytes), the watchdog expires during the function platform_copy_app_to_iflash()!
During erasing of app the function platform_write_flash_chunk() takes care of the watchdog, but kicking of watchdog is missing
in function platform_write_flash_chunk()!

Show LessHello Problem-Solvers!
This past week we had our WICED Bluetooth Virtual Workshop, co-sponsored by Mouser, teaching hundreds of engineers how to design low-power IoT devices using Cypress' CYW20719 Dual-Mode Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless MCU. Missed it? No worries! You can now watch on-demand right here on the Cypress community. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Buy a CYW20719 Eval Kit (CYW920719Q40EVB-01) from Mouser so that you can follow along the workshop
2. Open up Alan Hawse's lab manual on www.iotexpert.com, which will provide you with all of the instructions and source code you need to complete the projects in the workshop
3. Watch the on-demand virtual workshop here: Video Link : 1640
Thanks and enjoy!
