Hello,
I am testing the CX3 mipi interface that uses only 2 data lanes.
My board was created with unsed data lane floating.
I just found out that the data sheet says to connect to the ground, but i cannot modify it now...
What are the results in this case? What are the expected problems?
Is it unstable? Or Is it not working?
Please,, we are praying it is working...
Show LessHi. Infineon
In customer side, they use CYUSB3314-88LTXC to design in USB3.0 HUB with two ports DS0 and DS1, they find the PC's explorer can't appear the DS1 device when continuous plug and unplug USB3.0 U disk, the probability is about 2%. when the issue appear, they use DS0 ports, the DS0 is good. they have to software reset the HUB, the issue is disappear. Now, they want to read the hub registers issue status frist( include rest flag bit) to know the HUB got to which staus, I can't find any register description, How can I catch it whether do you like to share( whether I need build a mycase)
thanks

Show LessHi,
Can you please share the VSEL_1_P0 and VSEL_2_P0 Pin configuration need to be used to program the regulator (Different PDO Voltages), like for example to drive 5V on Vbus, What will be the VSEL_1_P0 and VSEL_2_P0 pin configurations?

I met a following error on FX2LP-cy7c68013a. The project is designed as USB2.0 HS mode.
When Host sent NYET PID, USB PHY has no any answer, sound card is closed.
However, FX2LP have no any interrupts with NYET, so how to deal with NYET?
The following photo is other UAC2.0 sound card. It answered ACK after NYET, so Host success to open sound card.
Hi, I am looking into the feasibility of using a CYUSB3014 for a project.
The documentation and tutorial videos on youtube show a configuration software, "GPIF II Designer". However, I can't seem to find a download for it. Is it still available?
Weirdly, when I google GPIF II Designer, I get an Infineon webpage - the text description on the page is indeed about GPIF II Designer, but the download link is for GPIF Designer. Maybe the page is broken? Or something went wrong when Cypress was acquired?
The apparently broken webpage:

I am very interested in using the FX3 platform, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Show LessIn the note AN75779, this passage caught my attention:
" The USB socket (acting as a consumer socket) uses a different DMA descriptor chain (descriptor chain 3) to read the data out in the correct order..."
Please see the full description in the attached picture.
I have a question, how does DMA descriptor chain 3 determine the order? Are programmers required to design?
Thank you very much for your answer.

Hi all,
just downloaded SuperSpeed Explorer Kit and tried to compile USBBulkSourceSinkLED project with the following output.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hello,
This question is related to the HX3 design discussed in this review.
The HX3 hub was manufactures as in the above mentioned design and it looks like it works ok, we use it to connect a USB camera module (AR0144) to the PC/Laptop. The camera module is USB 3 and has a micro-B USB connector, we use a micro-B USB to type-C cable to connect the camera module to the HX3 hub.
we have 2 types of micro-B to type C cable (see attached cable A and cable B), everything works good with cable A but when connecting the camera module to the HX3 hub using cable B we get a "USB device not recognized". we connected the camera module directly to the PC with cable B and it works good, we also tested the camera module with cable B connected to a commercial USB-3 hub and it also works good.
any ideas what can male cable B not work with the HX3?
thanks,
Show LessHi,
I'm facing a problem while developing the firmware for a 100W power adapter.
I programmed the CYPD3196 via SWD and J-Link. Afterwards I could not program it a second time. In openocd I get the error "DP: cannot read IDR".
I suppose I have chosen the wrong bootloader. Because I was not able to find the bootloader for the CYPD3196, I utilzed the one for CYPD3175. Is it possible that this is interrelated?
Where can I find the correct bootloader files for the CYPD3196?
Is it possible to reprogram the chip?
Show LessHello,
Could you confirm if AT24CM02 256KB EEPROM can be used for FX3 I2C boot?
Did Cypress do any testing with any 256K Atmel memories?
Thanks you!
