Based on your resolution and debug prints, I can find that the frame size is proper and constant.
Please let me know if the same UART prints are seen for both working and failing cases. If not, then kindly share the debug logs for working and failing cases separately. If the debug logs for both the working and failing case shows the same frame size, then it means that the issue is from the image sensor side. This is because CX3 is just a bridge between image sensor and the host. It does not perform any modifications to the video data other than the addition of a UVC header.
For your question on the power conversion chip, is the working case also using the same power conversion chip as the failing case?
