We developed a custom board that utilized portions of the CYUSB3KIT-003 dev kit schematic. Unfortunately the need to connect the OTG_ID pin to ground for dual role USB operation was missed so it was left unconnected. The entire reason for including the FX3 was so our board could act as a USB host, so this omission is a big problem. Is there any way to enable the USB host operation from software without having to do a respin of the board?

As mentioned in the guidelines, the OTG_ID pin should be grounded if you want FX3 to be used as a dual role device.
