How to expand a UVC device to a composite usb device

Dear,

I have a UVC devcice, but I want to expand it as a composite usb device(UVC and HID device), because I need send some information (such as ascii to the computer), is there any infineon USB controller can meet my requirement.

Hi Leon,

Infineon has two USB controllers, FX3 and CX3.

FX3 gives USB support to any devices through its GPIF block, (no MIPI interface)

CX3 specifically gives USB support to image sensors having MIPI interfaces.

Please let us know the image sensor interface at your end.

Thanks for your timely reply.

I have used FX3 in our previous product, the video interface is BT1120, and it is a composite usb device(UVC+HID), when the button is pressed, the camera send a ascii to the computer, and it works well.

Now we are planning to develop a new product,  the output of our new camera solution is USB, but it can't be modified to composite device, it just as UVC device, so I want to know whether has a USB controller that can connect to a UVC device and  expand to a composite device.

Hi Leon,

We do not have any USB to USB bridge controllers. 

There is one alternative, you can try to create a master slave setup of two FX3's to create a USB to USB bridge. You can find the details in the given link.

Maybe you could create the camera solution with singe FX3 with the UVC+HID interface.
