Hi, I am looking into the feasibility of using a CYUSB3014 for a project.

The documentation and tutorial videos on youtube show a configuration software, "GPIF II Designer". However, I can't seem to find a download for it. Is it still available?

Weirdly, when I google GPIF II Designer, I get an Infineon webpage - the text description on the page is indeed about GPIF II Designer, but the download link is for GPIF Designer. Maybe the page is broken? Or something went wrong when Cypress was acquired?

The apparently broken webpage:

https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/design-support/tools/configuration/usb-gpif-designer/

I am very interested in using the FX3 platform, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

Firstly, I am able to download the package using the link that you shared in your description. Second, we recommend you to download the complete FX3 SDK for development. GPIF II designer is bundled along with FX3 SDK and will be installed as part of the SDK installation process. You can download the SDK from the Development tools section of the following link:

https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/design-support/tools/sdk/usb-controllers-sdk/ez-usb-fx3-software-dev...

Best Regards,
Jayakrishna

Hi Jayakrishna,

Thanks for the quick reply! I was indeed able to download GPIF II Designer from the SDK you linked! So my problem is resolved.

I still think there is something wrong with the webpage I linked in the OP though. When I downloaded the GPIF Designer from that page, it seemed to be a much older version that only supports USB 2.0 devices. But, maybe I did something wrong.

In any case, I appreciate your help. Have a good week!
