Can EZ-USB FX3 CUYSB3014-BZXI use W25Q16JWSSIM as the SPI Boot Flash?

We received the following question (actually same as the title) from the customer.

Would you please teach us the answer?

We have a question about the SPI Boot Flash for Cypress EZ-USB FX3 CYUSB3014-BZXI.

We are planning to connect Winbond SPI Flash Memory "W25Q16JWSSIM"

to CYUSB3014-BZXI SPI Interface.

(Q1) Is EZ-USB FX3 Flash SPI Command and API  compatible with this Flash Memory?

And please confirm if we can use this Flash memory without problem with CYUSB3014-BZXI?

(Q2) Would you teach us if there is/are EZ-USB FX3 documentation and sample program(s),

which covers SPI Flash Memory Access command and API?

(Q1)
W25Q16JWSSIM is not a confirmed Flash but there is the checklist to check if the Flash is available with FX3 device. Please find the checklist in "7.2 Selection of SPI flash".

If there are any mismatch in the commands, you can also change the commands.
