After installing SuiteUSB 3.4 - USB Development Tools for Visual Studio, you can find the CYUSB.sys driver in the below directory.

C:\Program Files\Cypress\Cypress Suite USB 3.4.1\Driver

This driver supports 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows XP,Windows Vista and Windows 7.

For windows 7 you will find in the C:\Program Files\Cypress\Cypress Suite USB 3.4.1\Driver\wlh

Hi ,

You need to edit the file in the directory where your driver is , i.e. suppose you sre using win7 32 bit then this is the path "C:\Program Files\Cypress\Cypress Suite USB 3.4.2\Driver\bin\wlh\x86" if you are using win7 64 bit then "C:\Program Files\Cypress\Cypress Suite USB 3.4.2\Driver\bin\wlh\x64", both these folders have inf files depending upon your OS add the vid/pid info in the correct inf file and point to it when asked for driver.

I am attaching a inf file for 64bit win 7 , if you want for 32bit then modify the vid pid under ;for x86 platforms.

Thank you for the answer
I edit the file and I tried the x64 version and x86

but Windows 7 said he does not find a driver in this directory
I did the test without the jumper with VID 04b4 and PID 8613
with jumper the vid/pid is 0925 and  3881

What is the problem ?

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

when i try to update the driver windows comes back with a message

"windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date"

Unknown Device

if i click on driver details i get

" no driver files are required or have been loaded for this drvice"

M0DMJ,

In cyusb1.inf there is a ; before the VID_04B4 statement. ; is a comment line in inf file. Remove that ; and modify the corresponding lines to your VID/PID and it should work fine.

Gonmalo,

Are you using FX2LP DVK (CY3684) or a custom  board. What is the VID/PID being displayed in device manager for the device?

Are you using Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit OS? Is your driver for AN2131SC a signed driver?

That is because the inf file will say the driver is in the same folder as the driver file. Don't do the copying.

Keep both inf file and driver file in same folder and try.

Only if you use a installer it will take care of specifying the drivers are in the specific system tolder.

 Hi,

[Device.NTx86] is for 32 bit processor. Since yours is a 64bit systems, you need to write the VID/PID under [Device.NTamd64]. Please find attached inf file. I have added the two entries for you in the appropriate section. Please check it out.

Thanks, I tried that and it does allow to me to install without digital signature, but my device manager still show the yellow exclaimation mark

for x64 platforms
[Device.NTamd64]
;VID_XXXX&PID_XXXX.DeviceDesc%=CyUsb, USB\VID_XXXX&PID_XXXX
VID_04B4&PID_8613.DeviceDesc%=CyUsb, USB\VID_04B4&PID_8613

; DMM
VID_0F3F&PID_F010.DeviceDesc%=CyUsb, USB\VID_0F3F&PID_F010

; Scope
VID_0F3F&PID_F022.DeviceDesc%=CyUsb, USB\VID_0F3F&PID_F022

Pleas advise,

thanks

 Hi,

In the entries that you have posted in the previous response, I see % symbol missing at the very start of the entry. It should be as below:

%VID_0F3F&PID_F010.DeviceDesc%=CyUsb, USB\VID_0F3F&PID_F010

I believe you missed that thing only in the post. Please ensure the same.

When you are binding using the Install driver Wizard, what does it show at the end? Does it give some warning/ error message ? Please check VID/PID being shown in the Device manager (right click on device -> Properties -> Details tab). Also check what is the message displayed in the Device Status coloumn in the Device manager (right click on device -> properties -> General tab). Please attach screenshots of both.

Did you use the same inf file that I had attached in the previous response? Just change its to CyUSB.inf (change extension from txt to inf). Just wanted to ensure this.

Regards,

I tried on my other Win7, AMD processor, 32-bit operating system. device driver installed succesfully.  However, I would like to have it work on Win7, Intel processor, 64-bit operating system.  Attached are the snapshots after implementing changes per your advice.

Thanks

 Hi,

[Device.NTamd64] is meant for 64-bit processors with architecture other than intel itanium architecture. So, it should be [Device.NTia64] is for Intel itanium architecture processors. Please make the change in the inf and try.
