USB low-full-high speed peripherals Forum Discussions
Hi,
I would like to do the following with a CY7C68013A-100AXC (100 pin FX2LP):
1. Connect to USB and power up
2. Enumerate with default, download firmware and descriptor tables, reenumerate
3. Configure the device in port mode and use ports A through E as 40 GPIO pins
4. Set some IO pins, read some IO pins, do some stuff (ports A, C and E always as outputs, ports B and D as I/O)
5. Configure the device as GPIF master (just port B and D, no GPIF address pins needed), while keeping ports A, C and E as outputs (Is it possible that ports A, C and E keep their output states without glitches when switching ports B and D from GPIO to GPIF?)
6. Stream out 16 bit data through GPIF on ports B and D with 5 MHz external clock for up to 100 seconds without losing data (10MByte/sec, up to 1Gbyte of data)
7. Switch back to all port mode while keeping at least the outputs at ports A, C and E unchanged
8. Set output values of ports B and D
9. Go in suspend mode while keeping all port outputs active in their state before entering suspend mode
10. Wake up the device some minutes or hours later via USB
Would this be possible or is there any difficulty?
Show LessHi I just got started with the fx3. After importing the example firmware given with the SDK I get the following error when I try to build them
C:/Program Files (x86)/Cypress/EZ-USB FX3 SDK/1.3/ARM GCC/bin/cs-make --no-print-directory post-build
/usr/bin/sh: -c: line 0: syntax error near unexpected token `('
/usr/bin/sh: -c: line 0: `C:/Program Files (x86)/Cypress/EZ-USB FX3 SDK/1.3/ARM GCC/bin/cs-make --no-print-directory post-build'
cs-make: *** [USBBulkLoopAuto.elf] Error 1
I have copied over all the projects during Import.
Any help would be appreciated.

Show LessI would like to send up to 8 bytes of data in control command to FX2 using additional data field. Up to four bytes the mValue and mIndex field can be used but for more, additional data field is needed.
What is the location of the received bytes?

Show LessHello,
The USB-Serial Configuration Utility allows to select Baud rate of up to 3000 kbps in UART mode, but the maximum communication rate of the USB serial port that can be selected on the Windows Device Manager is 128 kbps.
This meaning supports 3Mbps as the communication specification on the SCB side of CY7C65211, but can the USB side (COM port driver) support up to 128 kbps only?

Show LessHi :
Our customers reported an issue related USB.
Our product used a Cypress FX2 Cy7c68013(USB FIFO) combined with a DSP. We designed the Cypress FX2 Cy7c68013 to be USB FIFO and supported two interfaces that one is HID Keyboard another one is Bulk.
The attachment "slave_syncB_Fifo_ep246_kb_V106.rar" is our program. It is operating fine on windows but if I plug up USB to a computer after then I turn on the computer. It will occur that the computer’s booting process is stuck about 20~30 sec(different computer has different symptom...) please refer attachment: "hid_kb_during_pc_booting_stuck.jpg".
I’ve tried to test a Cy3684 EZ-USB Development Board installed hid_kb example which was from CY3684_EZ-USB_FX2LP_DVK (1.0). The symptom appears again. I used an USB Analyzer to record the enumeration when the computer was in BIOS. I also record a Standard HID Keyboard. The attachment "USB_Package.rar" included two record files.
"Standard_KB_Windows.usb" is standard HID Keyboard’s. "Cypress_HID_KB_Bios.usb" is Cy3684 EZ-USB Development Board’s.
My USB Analyzer is Advisor T3. Software is USB Protocol Suite 4.60.1406.
I compared both, and I found a weird condition in "Cypress_HID_KB_Bios.usb". Please refer the attachment "Cypress_HID_KB_Bios.jpg". Why it send out a HID Mouse report? We didn’t set HID Mouse.
I checked the issue can be reappears on motherboard : ASUS P8Z77-V LK、ASUS Z97-PRO.
Has anyone met this issue? and how the solve it? Please help me.
thank you a lot.

Show LessI tested vend_ax programm with:
CY3684 USB 2.0 DEVELOPMENT BOARD
I think I damaged the large EEPROM because the board is not recognized anymore.
Is there a way to set the Large EEPROM back to its default value or flash:
C:\Cypress\USB\Examples\FX2LP\EEPROM Images\
on it.
Thanks,
