The connection is exactly what Pranava thinks.
Currently, at the time of device enumeration, the following descriptor notifies Set_Line_Coding support (Offset 3-D1-1).

Is it possible to change this to non-compliant (D1 = 0)?

Hi,

Only parameters configurable through USB-Serial Configuration Utility can be changed in USB-Serial device. therefore this modification will not be possible.
