We are designing a board that we want to use with as many Android phones as possible. What would be the most generic, widely support USB 2.0 chipset that we can use?
Thanks
Alot

Hi,
Please refer to USB Serial Bridge Controllers (https://community.cypress.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/Key-Features-of-the-Cypress-USB-Serial-Brid...)
They are compatible with Android.
You can install the USB-Serial Android SDK from https://www.cypress.com/documentation/software-and-drivers/usb-serial-software-development-kit . Please go through the README file and the start.chm document in the docs folder for more details on the SDK.
Best Regards,
Mallika

Thanks. Can you tell me if there is chipset that will do a faster rate >45Mbps instead of SPI? Is there a general list of chipsets that are supported by Android?
