First question asked Welcome!

Our charger product is using the Cypress USB-Serial communication module to connect charger to PC for communication. We used the Cypress drivers and added USB PID/VID info into the drivers files in order for PC to recognize our chargers.

We are facing intermittent PC getting Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) when disconnecting USB cable from PC. The issue happened especially if the charger is connecting through a USB hub (Belkin).

Please advise any solution to solve the issue?

My PC is running on Windows 10 Professional.

Hello,
Thank you for posting on Infineon Community.

Regarding your query,  can you please check for the following:
1. Make sure your device drivers are updated. Delete any recently installed programs or drivers that might be responsible for BSOD.
2. List down all the error warnings you got before, which could help you find the particular defective area.
3. Avoid using unnecessary hardware peripherals and check if the connection is firmly in place before and after plugging and unplugging it.
4. Make sure that your device's internal storage is not full and there is ample space.
5. Scan your system thoroughly to get rid of viruses and malware. These could have corrupted the system files and the drivers, causing a BSOD. Make sure your antivirus is updated.

Anshika
