Hellow,
(1)
Q1.
It is stated on page6 of the application note "AN91378" that it is necessary to set it with the "Blaster Plus" tool to use the external clock.
Can I start with an external clock before setting?
(Do I need a crystal oscillator to start up)
Q2.
Also, is EEPROM required for setting?
If necessary, if there is a set EEPROM, will it be possible to start up with only an external clock?
(2)
Q3.
When VBUS power management is performed in GANG mode and overcurrent is detected and the power supply is disconnected, if there is a USB 2.0 device that does not control the power supply (with power on), can it communicate normally?

Q1.

Show LessHello! Please help me! I am not a programmer. I have CY7C67300-100AXI EZ-OTG with broken firmware. After plug into PC cannot install drivers. How recovery firmware CY7C67300-100AXI EZ-OTG ?
Show LessIs the CYUSB3333 reference design kit still available for purchase and if so in what quantities and also what lead times? We'd like to get a hold of one for some early evaluation of the CYUSB3333 for use in USB hub similar to Help Required for New Product Design using HX2C (CYUSB3333)
Show LessHow can I obtain the RDK for the HX3C? I have seen it referenced in video and slide presentations, as "HX3C USB Type-C Dock RDK"
I would like to evaluate this for an application to provide hub and USB-PD functions, I do not need docking applications like HDMI/display port.
This application includes:
- 1x USB-C UFP
- 1x USB-C DFP
- 1x USB 3.x DFP/Type-A (embedded device, no connector needed)
- 1x USB 2.0 DFP/Type-A (embedded device, no connector needed)
In addition, I would like to use USB-PD to share power between downstream charging port (eg wall charger), a battery embedded in the upstream device, and a battery packaged with hub IC. The last device will have its charging controlled by either the USB 2.0 embedded device, or a separate controller.
Is the HX3C capable of these requirements?
Thank you
Show LessI am trying to follow AN6010 in order to enumerate a keyboard via the HPI coprocessor interface on the CY7C67200 device.
The example uses SIE1 (Port 0), while my setup is using SIE2 (Port 2?).
I believe I have successfully completed Steps 1a and 1b while making modifications for the corresponding registers related to SIE2 vs. SIE1.
These are the initialization steps so far:
Step 1a:
Write 0x0000 to SIE2msg Register (0x0148).
Write 0xFFFF to Host 2 Status Register (0xC0B0).
Write 0x12C0 to HUSB_pEOT Register (0x01B4).
Write 0x3080 to Interrupt Routing Register (0x0142).
Write 0x0030 to Host 2 Interrupt Enable Register (0xC0AC).
Step 1b:
Write 0x0073 to COMM_INT_NUM (0x01C2). (HUSB_SIE2_INIT_INT)
Write 0xCE01 to HPI Mailbox (COMM_EXEC_INT).
At this point, I detect the HPI_INT and read the HPI STATUS and HPI Mailbox and verify that the COMM_ACK has been received successfully.
Prior to starting Step 2, I attach the keyboard to Port 2A.
Step 2:
Write 0x0074 to COMM_INT_NUM (0x01C2).
Write 0x003C to COMM_R0 (0x01C4).
Write 0x0002 to COMM_R1 (0x01C6). (Not sure if 2 is the correct port number for Port 2A on the CY7C67200?)
Write 0xCE01 to HPI Mailbox (COMM_EXEC_INT).
At this point, I detect a HPI_INT and read a value of 0x1001 from the HPI_Status register (which I believe indicates a SOF/EOP2 and an incoming mailbox interrupt).
I read the mailbox and see 0x0FED, and this clears the mailbox interrupt.
However, I'm not sure how to deal with the SOF interrupt. Does anyone know how to service this interrupt to clear the status bit?
I've tried reading SIE2msg Register (0x0148), reading and writing R0-R13, and reading the Host 2 Status Register (0xC0B0), but none of these seem to clear the SOF interrupt.
Show LessHi,
The USB3 hub CYUSB330x requires 3.3V analog power supply. In the DVK external power supply is used to derive these voltages. How can i design self-powered USB3 hub that uses VBUS only?
Show LessI am trying to use the CY7C65215 to send Ic2 commands to a TI DLP3010 Light processor device (a commercial board that uses the CY7C65215) but I am unable to communicate with the board. I don't know if the problem is with the CY7C65215 or the DLP3010. Does anyone know how the I2C commands pass through the CY7C65215 via the USB? Does it add extra bits or left shift the bits in any way? I am using the Cypress usb library which seems to find the CY7C65215 ok.
Show LessHello,
i have bought a CY4613 USB3.0 Shared Link DVK.
Under Windows the shared link is working.
When i try it under Linux the SS port won't be recognized.
Is shared link supported under Linux? Do i need a special driver?
Best regards,
Michael
Show LessI must update the firmware of two cascaded HX hosts. They both have their external EEPROM (HX3 master). Unfortunately, I can only reach the first host with Blaster Plus tool. FW update works fine for this one. Unfortunately it's not possible for the second one.
According my understanding, the FW is stored in the external EEPROM.
Is there any possibility to write the FW directly to this external memory?
Any other suggestions how to trip the first host and access the second one by Blaster Plus?
