Cypress has two HX2 parts that aren't clearly differentiated: CY7C65620 and CY7C65621.

What are the differences between these parts?

Datasheet headings show the word "Lite" added to the CY7C65621.

CY7C65620 = EZ-USB HX2LP™ Low-Power USB 2.0 Hub Controller Family

CY7C65621 = EZ-USB HX2LP Lite™ Low Power USB 2.0 Hub Controller Family

I am trying to reinstall the Windows drivers for the CY7C65631 USB hub. The issue is that it is coming up as an Unkown device, and Windows cannot find the appropriate driver for it. It did come up correctly as a USB hub before I uninstalled the driver, for which I am trying to debug a driver problem that has the same issue of not finding the correct Windows driver.

We are looking for a stand alone USB3.0/3.1 Hub in our embedded application to increase the number of USB 3.1 port. Stand alone USB hub in the sense, we dont want to use the EEPROM  or  I2C master(or minimum setting) to configure the USB HUB and USB hub should work with default  pre-programmed configuration with out much dependency on the controller.

Can you please suggest us the IC to serve our purpose.

I'm looking for a compatible product with the µPD720115 in Cypress USB Hub-controller.

I have attached the overview of µPD720115 as follows.

I think that suitable device is HX2VL (it seems CY7C65642, CY7C65632). Is my understanding correct?

If you have other recommendation, any advice and so on, please kindly let me know.

We are looking for lowest power USB hub with the following constraints:

1x high speed upstream port

1x high speed downstream port (removable)

1x full speed downstream port (non-removable)

We have looked at the datasheet for the CY7C65632/34 and see the following numbers

1 active high speed port = 51.9mA (typ) @ 3.3V = 171mW

Assume 85% efficient buck from 5V to 3.3  and power = 171/0.85 = 201mW

Is this power affected by transmission duty cycle?

We think we can save power by having external access to the core voltage. Is there a device like this????

By example a competitors device has dual supply inputs to separate internal LDOs

3.3V @ 25mA + 1.8V @ 24mA = 126mW

Again, assuming 85% efficient buck from 5V total power = 126/0.85 = 147mW

Does Cypress have something that will compete with this?

Hello all

I'm triyng using a SilverCrest USB hub. It worked very well in the past. Now I need a hub and I tried it, but in Windows 10 it isn't recognized. The device manager response is "device descriptor request failed". It should work with the simple usbhub.sys driver, but it doesn't. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the response is the same...

Can anyone help me?

Base on AN72332 , The Crystal need 600-μW minimum drive level . We have out of stock issue now , But most component was less then 600uW as attach file ( Only 500uW max for drive level ) . It is Mass production that can't modify the PCB for series resistor,  Can We use the XIHCCLNANF-12.000000MHz  for CY7C65634 ? If you have a crystal to suggest for us ? Thank !!
