We are trying to get the CY4163 working with an Avnet UltraZed-EV SK (Starter Kit), which consists of an UltraZed-EV SOM (System On Module) and UltraZed-EV Carrier Card. The UltraZed-EV SOM has a Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC (Multi Processor System on Chip), aka ZynqMP. The ZynqMP is running PetaLinux 2020.2. The UltraZed-EV SK works fine with the CY4609 and CY4603. However, the CY4613 is not detected when connected to the UltraZed-EV SK. Nothing appears under lsusb or dmesg. To rule out an issue with the CY4613, it has been tested with a desktop Ubuntu system where it works fine.
What could be causing this behavior and how might we fix it? Thanks in advance.Show Less
As the HUB controller CY7C65642-48AXC is now NRND, you recommended me to refer to HX2LP. As we need 4 USB ports, the alternatives that we have and are still active are:
CY7C65630 or CY7C65631
1) Is there another alternative that has the same footprint as CY7C65642-48AXC?
2) Between CY7C65630 or CY7C65631, the latter if I understand "Lite" is the ultra low power. Question: how low is the power consumption? in both datasheets I can't find the difference.
3) As I understand, CY7C65630 and CY7C65631 have the same footprint or smaller?
Thank you very much for your help and clarificationShow Less
I have a few questions about CY7C65631 chip.
I need a high-speed 4-port USB hub chip to connect to raspberry pi unit.
My first question is about compatibility with Linux. I am kind of nervous about compatibility issues. Is there any compatibility issue between CY7C65631 and linux?
Secondly, I am kind of confused about programming eeprom connected to CY7C65631. How is it actually programmed? Do I have to pre-program before soldering the EEPROM or is it programmed through the hub via USB? Is it OK to completely omit the EEPROM? If you can provide me with any compatible EEPROM manufacturer number I would appreciate it.
Lastly, I'd like to know if I can use an oscillator to run the chip instead of crystal. What should be the voltage level of the oscillator? There aren't any guidelines about the clock pins.
Thanks in advance.
Hello Cypress Team,
We are planning to use the CYUSB3304-68LTXC chip with the NXP imx8mp processor.
For that, we need a Linux driver for the CYUSB3304-68LTXC chip.
can you please provide example of Linux device tree of cyusb3304 ?
Let me know if you need any details.Show Less
About the AN69235 of the application note,
In the red circle, this document says HX2LP can support up to THREE downstream ports.
Could you tell me why HX2LP cannot support ALL(FOUR) downstream ports with bus-power?
I have just received Life Cycle information from IHS/Manufacturer that this Hub-Controller is not recommended for new designs. If this is the case, can you please recommend a substitute?
What is difference between CY7C65630 and CY7C65631.
Datasheet says HX2LP-Lite(CY7C65631) is ultra-low power device, but I could not find ultra-low power specifications against the HX2LP(CY7C65630) on the datasheet.
Could you tell me what is ultra low-power?
