I once asked the following question.
https://community.infineon.com/t5/USB-hosts-hubs-transceivers/Signal-quality-measurement-in-HX2LP/m-...
After confirming the test procedure of HS HOST Signal Quality with Tektronix, we received a reply that it is necessary to prepare the DUT so that it can be set to Test Mode by itself.
The HX2VL has a TEST pin, but the HX2LP does not.
How can the CY7C65630 go into test mode by itself without the TEST pin?
Thanks,
Tetsuo

Hi Tetsuo,
HX2LP don't have a separate GPIO to enter Test mode. But, HX2LP can be put into test mode by the USB Host request(For Example: SetPortFeature-PORT_TEST-Test_J).
USBHSET application software helps you to put HX2LP into test mode. You can download the High-Speed Electrical Test Tool Kit software (USBHSET) from the developers tools page at the USB Implementers Forum web site, http://www.usb.org/.
You can refer to Table 8(Test Mode Selector for Feature Selector PORT_TEST (21)) in the datasheet to find all the supported test modes. You can invoke any of the supported test modes using USBHSET software for testing the signal quality.
USBHSET XHCI - Is used for USB 3.X host controllers (Which can also be used for USB 2.0 Hubs like HX2LP)
USBHSET EHCI - Is used for USB 2.0 host controllers

Ajeeth-san,
Thank you for your support.
There is Hub Class Requests in Table 6 of the data sheet, and it is stated here that PORT_TEST can be performed by requesting SetPortFeature. My understanding is that all of these commands are controlled from the HOST using USBHSET, and the HX2LP does not require any control. Is it correct?
If my understanding is wrong, please let me know.
Thanks,
Tetsuo
