Can VBUSPOWER be directly connected to VCC (3.3V)?
I want to build in HX2LP inside the Host PC. Therefore, there is no VBUS on the system.
Thanks,
Tetsuo

Hi Tetsuo-san,
Yes. As VIL for HX2LP is 2 to 5.25 volt, you can connect VBUSPOWER to VCC(3.3V) for your embedded hub application. I recommend you to connect VBUSPOWER to 3.3V via a 15K resistor.
Thanks,
Ajeeth

Ajeeth-san,
Why does it need resistor?

Tetsuo-san,
It is a pull-up resistor(to limit the current drawn by the Microcontroller input pin) for the HX2LP input pin.
