Hi,
The VBUS connection is a bit confusing. Specifically after reading the application note: AN1168 (Please compare this application note with the schematics).
How should I connect the VBUS to the CYUSB3014 if I only want to use the CYUSB3014 as a cell-power device only (No OTG application). Do I need to use 39K or 62K resistors (AN1168) along with the BLM21PG221SN1D (inductor)? I would appreciate it if you could also specify the whole path from the VBUS pin on the USB connector to the VBUS pin on the CYUSB3014.
Thanks,
Nazila
Show LessDear All:
I use the firmware which is the primal one SDK-beat3 in the folder of Cypress\FX3 SDK\firmware\slavefifo.The usb3014 which is connect to an external processor FPGA(cyclone III), sends data with a strange phenomenon. I have tried the data-sending on different PC environment( win7/XP32-bit and linux). At 32 bit GPIF data bus mode , first the PC sends data to usb3014, then usb3014 sends data to FPGA, but there are many little rising edges(data is sent at the high level)when usb3014 sends data to the FPGA( dmaSlFifoConfig.size = 1024). the situation can be seen on the attachment-picture(USB3014_32bit_USB_OUT_TO_FPGA.JPG).On the picture , the high electrical level stands for data-sending. At 16 bit GPIF data bus mode, usb3014 can not send data to FPGA.
The other attachment picture(USB_OUT_2.PNG) is a lager image of USB3014_32bit_USB_OUT_TO_FPGA.JPG
thanks!

Hi,
Is it possible to keep the UART pin assignments the same between the 32- and 16-bit slave fifos?
Ideally, UART pins stay where they are now (53-56), even in 16-bit slave fifo mode, so long as SPI is disabled.
That is:
32-bit, no spi, uart: UART is 53-56.
16-bit, no spi, uart: UART is 53-56.
16-bit, spi, no uart: SPI is 53-56.
Is this possible?
Show LessHi,
I want to create a software application that will download a .img file into the FX3. Could you let me know the process for doig this? For the FX2 there were a series of vendor requests that allowed the user to download firmware into the FX2 memory. How is this done in the FX3.

Show LessHi,
Do the "BULK Stream" will be available soon?
Or someone has writen an driver that support it ?
If someone did it, can you give me your transfert rate ? (and the USB Controller used)
Thanks !
Show LessHi,
Could someone confirm the pcb pad sizes for the FX3 BGA package. Cypress application note AN70707 p2 gives the recommended pad size as 0.241mm but the development board has a pad size of about 0.5mm. Has anyone built a pcb using the recommended pad sizes for the FX3.
Thanks,
Sodafarl

I tried both Atmel and Microchip.
It seems to be not written data to 2nd page of EEPROM.
Has anybody tried this?
