USB low-full-high speed peripherals Forum Discussions
Hi,
my CY7C65215A is configured as I2C in SCB0 and SPI in SCB1. I already had good results when using both blocks in vendor mode.
Actually I was testing some code with both blocks in CDC mode .
Now I was curious and wanted to see what the VCP mode for I2C does and switched to it in the configuration utility (SCB1 is still SPI CDC).
The result is :
the device manager is now showing a single channel device and one COM port. The dual channel driver cannot be installed.
My application just finds the SCB1 block.
But the worst thing is that the configuration utility doesn't see the device any more, so I'm not able to change back the configuration. I'm stuck.
How can I get out of this?
best regards
Show LessHello,
We are using the CY7C65211 bridge on a device that connect to a Linux (Kubutu 18.04) machine. The Linux PC, instead of adding a serial port (/dev/ttyXXX) is listing the device as a Thermometer:
Bus 001 Device 057: ID 04b4:0002 Cypress Semiconductor Corp. CY7C63x0x Thermometer
I downloaded CP210x_SDK from the website and install it, but the serial port appears nowhere.
In a Windows PC, the serial port works out-of-the-box, but I can't seem to make it work in Linux (no /dev/ttyUSBx or /dev/ttyACMx, or anything).
What am I missing?
Thank you so much!

Show LessHi,
I have the development kit CYUSBS236 and a self designed PCBA with CY7C65215A based on the bus-powered configuration from the datasheet:
When using the configuration utility, both devices are listed.
Choosing device 2 (CYUSBS236), I can connect to it and do the configurations:
Choosing device 1 (CY7C65215A PCBA) the utility shows the device information, but cannot connect:
The device manager shows the 2 devices as follows:
When using the API functions CyGetListofDevices and CyGetDeviceInfo, the blocks SerialBlock_MFG, SerialBlock_SCB0 and SerialBlock_SCB1 are found found for CYUSBS236 , but only SerialBlock_MFG for CY7C65215A.
Are there wrong or missing drivers?
There was already another post with the same problem (https://community.infineon.com/t5/USB-low-full-high-speed/CY7C65211-cannot-connect-to-USB-Serial-Config-utility/m-p/75005#M1849), but no solution.

in simple words, i want popup notification of my device with customized device name lets say "USB ABC Device Connected". every time i connect to USB port.
thanks in advance.

Hello.
I would like to know about the E-PAD connection for CY7C65213.
This device has an Exposed PAD.
It is recommended that the EPAD be connected to GND, but I do not want to solder it for the convenience of managing the state of the mounting.
Is it possible to use the EPAD without soldering?
Are there any (negative) effects of not soldering?

Show LessHi,
Description:
CY7C65211/CY7C65211A has a User flash area. The total space available is 512 bytes.
The flash area address offset is from 0x0000 to 0x00200.
However, the configuration data written from the windows utility can not read from Linux.
All the data by reading CyReadUserFlash API is always zero.
Question:
Does the Windows configuration utility store the configuration data to another address?
How to configure user's settings on Linux?

Hello Everyone !
I have attached Flash Nands with my Controller and am using it as a usb(MSC) drive. Is it possible to use uart protocol after enumeration has been done.
For example after having a certain file written or any file written to the flashes can we send a command or signal over the UART0 or UART1.
If yes then how?
If no then why?
Any help in this regard would highly be appreciated.
Regards,
Show LessI have access to the below site.
https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/design-support/software/code-examples/usb-controllers-code-examples/...
in the Code Examples integrated with Application Notes. I try to find the example code for AN63787. But it has no link to download. Can anyone suggest to me how I can find the link?
