Please advise which USB to UART/COM ICs might have native support in old linux kernels (2.4…3.x versions).
We tested Prolific PL2303TA. It works well in Linux 2.4 kernel.
Please advise alternatives.
Thank you so much.

Hi,
USB Serial devices (CY7C65211, CY7C65213 and CY7C65215) support Linux kernel version 2.6.35 and onwards. Please refer the datasheet.
Can you please let me know which versions are you looking for?
Regards
