Can the CY7C68053 parts boot from a large I2C EEPROM (for example the 24AA512 or 24AA1025 from Microchip)?

Any gotchas we need to be aware of if we use these in a design instead of the 24AA128?

 Hi,

24AA512 is of 16K byte and 24AA1025 is of 64K byte

If your program size is less than 16K byte then 24AA1025 can be used. But most of its memory will be wasted.

May I know why you want to use to 24AA1025?

Regards,

VIkas.

Our current designs use 24AA128 and our program size is less than 16 KB. We want to use a larger EEPROM in a new revision of the design to load/store non-program data.

We plan to access the EEPROM as a regular I2C device after the FX2 boots up. Would this work?
