Hej,
I´m wondering where the CY7C68001-56LTXC (QFN package) is on it´s life cycle, do you have any plans to stop the produktion of it anytime soon?
I have seen that you have stopped manufacturing of CY7C68001-56PVXC.

Hi,
In SX2, the registers were accessible to and controlled by the Master. FX2LP has its own CPU and can access all registers from the firmware. If these register access is required to the external master, it should be communicated over a serial interface such as I2C.
Please refer to the FX2LP TRM (https://www.cypress.com/documentation/technical-reference-manuals/ez-usbr-technical-reference-manual) for more details on FX2LP. Especially the Slave FIFO section will be of help.

Hi,
The above mentioned SX2 part is already declared obsolete and FX2LP is recommended for new designs. Please find the link to FX2LP datasheet here - https://www.cypress.com/file/138911/download

Hi,
Ok, thanks!
Do you know if the FX2LP can be programmed to be exactly the same function as SX2?
According to the application notes (Designing with EZ-USB® FX2LP™ Slave FIFO Interface (cypress.com))
only two bits of FIFOADR is used in normal FIFO mode off the new FX2LP.

Hi,
Please refer to the following KBA - https://community.cypress.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/Changing-to-FX2LP-from-SX2/ta-p/248363
FX2LP has differences compared to SX2 and can not be replaced directly. However FX2LP offers much more flexibility in the design.

Hi,
Yes, it needs to be programmed and configured each startup from an external EEPROM, but can this flexibility cover the same function/configuration as the SX2?
If yes, how?
