Dear Sir or Madam,
Customer would like to know:
- Is CY7C65213A hardware base for RS485 or it needs to program a firmware?
- The snapshot attached ( the red circle TX,RX) is RS232 UART, and implement a RS485 transceiver then the signal will be RS485 output. Is it correct?
- Does Cypress have a RS485 transceiver solution?
Thank you for your support..

Hi,
1. CY7C65213A is a fixed firmware part, so no explicit firmware development is required. However CY7C65213A must be configured using USB-Serial Configuration Utility found in USB-Serial SDK (https://www.cypress.com/documentation/software-and-drivers/usb-serial-software-development-kit)
Please refer to 2.3.2.3.1 UART Mode section under USB Serial Configuration Utility User Guide to configure the part for RS-485.
2. TX and RX of CY7C65213A is not RS232 UART. It operates in TTL levels.
3. Currently we do not have a RS485 transceiver solution.
