Is it necessary to do anything on the device to perform "TD.1.8 Receiver Jitter Tolerance Test at 5 GT/s", which is one of the USB3.0 compliance tests? The certification authority has not been able to perform this test. Please let me know if there are any operations you need.

I have been making composite images and uploading to the EVK board for some time now and just hit a weird situation where the EVK board does not get recognized by the utility when I press the "Get Status" button. The device manager says "usb device descriptor request failed" but the hub still manages to work with my mouse so I'm confused.  This happened after a particular composite image upload.   Now I'm stuck with the unwanted uploaded firmware and want to revert back to factory settings.  Is there a hardware factory reset?  Or a software reset that could be accomplished somehow? I did also notice during the upload attempt of the suspect firmware, it failed to upload but somehow the PDO's managed to get changed and the hub is still functional.

We have EA test requirement below test item on Hub CYUSB3304-68LTXI. We know that tests Electrical Tests need to compliance tool, so how to let your USB hub go into compliance mode?
And other like Link layer test、LVS、USB30/20/Hub CV, how to do those test? Whether needs to other compliance tool? Need your comments.

The datasheet has the following:

"Overcurrent detection includes 8 ms of timed filtering by default."

Is this the time from when OVR goes from high to low until PWR goes from low to high?

This time has passed about 112ms even though my customer's board does not have an EEPROM. The short of VOUT is inserting a potentiometer between GND.

Is this the intended behavior? Is there any problem in operation?

I use CY7C65630. It is a 4-port product, but I would like to use only 2 ports. At this time, is it necessary to implement EEPROM and set configuration options such as ActivePorts? Also, if you need to change the settings, please let me know if there are any other settings other than the above.

For me, it's best to leave the pins as NC by default (EEPROM not installed).

Is it ok to understand that that the information written to the EEPROM reflects the same value in both the iProduct of the USB HS HUB and the iProduct of the USB SS HUB? So, "idProduct" is a recognition in which each value is set in HS and SS on the descriptor.On the other hand, as for iProduct, as attached, it is recognized that the same value is reflected in each descriptor as a common value between HS and HS. Is it correct assuming?

Is it possible to swap DS and US on HX2LP? It is enough if only one port out of US has the function.

It assumes functionality similar to that found in Microchip's USB2534.

I understand that an HX3 hub in an embedded Linux environment is controlled by the Linux drivers, but I haven't been able to find a guiding document on hardware implementation. I have found some known working schematics which I can copy but so far nothing that acts as an explicit guide. Specifically looking for guidelines on necessity of external EEPROM, configuration of mode sel pins, and polarity of VBUS enable and over current fault IO. Thanks for any help.

Hello, I'm working an embedded Linux design using CYUSB332x hub with one downstream USB-C port with a PD phy and one downstream USB-A port. Since the USB-C port has the PD phy and can negotiate power on its own, can I ignore power enable signal from the hub for that port, or will that cause some kind of incompatibility with linux drivers or anything else I haven't thought of? I can use the gpio of the PD phy to take in the power enable signal from the hub if necessary. Thank you.

We are planning a new PCB design with the CYUSB4347-BZXC. How is its default state?

Is it coming preprogrammed with a standard configuration (HUB, PD, DMC) and will be working with USB 2.0 straight away?

or do we have to plan the SWD pins (DMC, PD) and flash it first time with a programmer?

• In that case: how to program the HUB part?
