Looking for a replacement for CY7C65642-48AXC

Hi Sananya,

As the HUB controller CY7C65642-48AXC is now NRND, you recommended me to refer to HX2LP. As we need 4 USB ports, the alternatives that we have and are still active are:

CY7C65630 or CY7C65631

Questions:

1) Is there another alternative that has the same footprint as CY7C65642-48AXC?

2) Between CY7C65630 or CY7C65631, the latter if I understand "Lite" is the ultra low power. Question: how low is the power consumption? in both datasheets I can't find the difference.

3) As I understand, CY7C65630 and CY7C65631 have the same footprint or smaller?

...and if CY7C65630 and CY7C65631 are so similar, why is there so much difference in price ? almost double!

Hi,

HX2LP and HX2LP-Lite are functionally and physically the same die with the same specifications and pin-to-pin compatible. 

The only difference between the two is in the manufacturing process.
