USB EZ-PD™ Type-C Forum Discussions
Hi team,
I have created a hex with the help of PSoC Creator (v4.5) for flashing a CYPD6127 (PD Controller). I am trying to burn hex file through CY8CKIT-005 MiniProg4 Program and Debug Kit, using PSoC Programmer (v3.29.5). But I am facing an error in flashing hex file as attached image.
Thanks
Show LessI am looking for a configuration tool to generate .hex files to program onto my CYPD6125. I have not been able to find independent firmware files, but I have read that there is a tool that allows the user to select the desired configuration/operation of the chip, however I have not had success finding this tool.
Any help in finding firmware files in .hex format or an identification of the configuration tool would be extremely appreciated.

Hello,
Can you tell me how to update the firmware on the CYPD2119-24LQXI via USB?
Regards.
The Win10 CY4500 Analyzer 4.0.0 installer doesn't appear to include a driver for the hardware. Neither does the Firmware update utility or the support section on the CY4500 product page. There's clearly no driver or driver installer utility.
Other Infineon customers have reported this same problem for v4.0.0 and for earlier versions. There are responses over the years from tech support claiming that 4.0.0 and 3.1 include a driver. However, customers have clearly proven that no such driver has been included. Also, support has said over the years that they'll release a driver shortly but unfortunately that never happened. If a driver indeed exists we'd like to see evidence of this.
Could someone please provide the filename and a link where it can be downloaded? And an explanation for the community as to why Infineon as chosen not to include include drivers or a driver installer utility with their software, including the latest 4.0.0 software. And why the CY4500 user manual and Quick Start guide are contain wrong and misleading info in this regard.
This is a poor first impression for a customer. The level of apathy seems worse than at TI. Thanks.
Hello
Q1)Does CYPD7191-40LDXS support both Miniprog3 and Miniprog4?
Q2)It seems that the CYPD72xx product is compatible with PSoC programmers, but does it not support the CYPD7191-40LDXS? It can't seem to select a CYPD7191-40LDXS of device.
Q3) Or can I select the device using Cypress programmer?
Q4)Is FW development for CYPD7191-40LDXS done with ModusToolBox?
Q5)Are there any programming related materials regarding the above CCG7S?
Please answer each question(Q1 ~Q5)
Best Regards
Show LessHi Suppor,
Thank you for usual support.
I have question about document of CCG series Application Note.
I think CCG5 has integrated PFET Gate Driver for VBUS.
Table 1 of AN210403 states "No", but is this a typo? ?
Best regards,
Koki
Show LessWe refer to CCG3PA datasheet to try to know CCG3PA power consumption.
but it only mentions about typical values measured at "VDDD = 5.0V"
What is the current consumption at "VDDD = 3.3V" ???
Our project will use two SCB and Type-PD function and GPIOs.

Show LessI got a pmg1-s3 hex file from cusotmer side, i would like to provide it and checksum to IC-programming factory
1. Open hex file by TXT edit, how to know the checksum value? attached is hex file.
2. another question, how to use cymcuelftool.exe to generate a hex file that contain checksum value?
I add below post-build command in ModusToolBox project :
POSTBUILD="$(CY_TOOLS_DIR)/cymcuelftool-1.0/bin/cymcuelftool.exe" --sign ./build/APP_PMG1-CY7113/Release/$(APPNAME).elf --output ./build/APP_PMG1-CY7113/Release/$(APPNAME)_signed.elf --hex ./build/APP_PMG1-CY7113/Release/$(APPNAME)_signed.hex
