Hi,
We are using a Tigerlake SOC with a CYPD5225 power delivery.
I have checked the I2C bus between the Tigerlake and the CYPD5225, there is I2C access from the Tigerlake but none of them are acknowledge by the CYPD5225.
The I2C cycles from the Tigerlake (address 7 bit 0x51) are not acknowledged buy the CYPD5225.
To set the slave I2C address in the CYPD2552 I set the parameter "SOC I2C address (0x)" to 0x51.
Is it right ?
As pin L6 and K6 are double function pins I2C_SCB2 or GPIO, how can I check I have the right configuration for these pins ?
The template used is the file CYPD5225-96BZXI_notebook_3_4_0_2559_0_0_0_nb.hex from Cypress tool
Is there a delay between CYPD5225 power up and the first I2C cycle that the CYPD5225 is able to acknowledge ?
Thank you for help,
Best regards,

Show LessHi,
I am using a power delivery CYPD5225 with a Tigerlake SoC.
Look with a scope at some signals of the CYPD5225 i have seen that the CYPD5225 activates (low level on the signal) the interrupt line I2C_INT_EC.
What does it means ?
Why the power delivery CYPD5225 activates this I2C_INT_EC ?
The activation of the signal is done immediately after the board is powered on, and this signal stay at a zero level all the time. See file scope_6.jpg enclosed (channel 1 (yellow) signal I2C_SCL_SCB1_EC; channel 2 (green) signal I2C_SDA_SCB1_EC; channel 4 (red) signal I2C_INT_EC).
Our design is "EC LESS" how can i specified it in the configuration on the power delivery.
Thank you for help,
Best Regards,

Show LessHi,
Can you please confirm what is the default state of the I2C_INT_EC (Pin F11, Embedded Controller interrupt) on the CYPD6227-96BZXI? Is it logic low or high?
Also what is the state change when the PD controller wants to actually send an interrupt to the Embedded controller. Is it low to high or high to low?
Do we need to configure this as edge triggered interrupt or level triggered in the EC?

Hello
For the 5-Pin Connector of CY8CKIT-005 MiniProg4 Program and Debug Kit Guide 3.2.1, it is described that "When connecting the MiniProg4 directly, the width and height of the 5-pin header area is 25mm x 13mm".
Q1) Is there any other way than connecting miniprog4 to header directly? (for example, using a cable etc.)
Q2) If there is only a direct connection, does the width and height of the 5-pin header area always need to be 25mm x 13mm?
Or is there a drawing that shows the external dimensions of the MiniProg4?

Show LessHi there,
Could you provide ez pd protocol analyzer utility build with openJDK ?
Cause oracle jdk policy is restricted to commercial use. My company IT forbid me to use oracle JDK on my work space. I found that openJDK cannot open ez pd protocol analyzer utility. It`s seems like you use eclipse develope with oracle jdk build ez pd protocol analyzer utility. The attachment is the log I open ez pd protocol analyzer utility with openJDK.
Show LessHi,
Could you please tell me the TID of CYPD3174-24LQXQ ?

Hi,
I have a project as below:
- CYPD3174 work in no feeback mode.
- MCU read PD contract negotiation from CYPD3174 and set voltage to ACT4751.
1. To disable opto feedback mode, i comment code in condition #if (VBUS_CTRL_TYPE_P1 == VBUS_CTRL_OPTO_FB) as below:
PDSS_TRIMS->trim_ea1_0 = 0xA0;
/* Use internal current for reference in case of opto feedback. */
pd->ea_ctrl = ((pd->ea_ctrl & ~PDSS_EA_CTRL_IREF_BG_SEL_MASK) |
(1u << PDSS_EA_CTRL_IREF_BG_SEL_POS));
/* Enable shunt */
pd->ea_ctrl |= PDSS_EA_CTRL_EN_SHNT;
Is this the right way to disable feedback mode on CYPD3174, if not please guide me.
2. I added I2C slave (SCB0) but it unable to communicate to MCU until i comment dpm_task(port); in main function.
Please help me add I2C (SCB0) and disable feedback mode of CYPD3174.
Thanks and Best regards.
Show LessHello
we are currently working on a design using Thunderbolt with a CCG5 USB-C Power Delivery controller. Our reference design is Tapex Creek. On your page
https://www.cypress.com/documentation/reference-designs/cypress-usb-c-thunderbolt-reference-solution step 3 mentions a "Thunderbolt device configuration utility" that i would like to request.
I found this thread, the submission of a technical MyCase however seems to be outdated and not possible any more.
