Hello
Regarding programming FW by SWD with Miniprog3, is it possible to connect two ICs (CCG3PA) in parallel and program different firmware (FW-A = CCG3PA ①, FW-B = CCG3PA ②) to each IC as shown in the attached figure?
Best Regards

Hi,
I currently using CCG4 to connect to EMS using SPI communication. The data is sent from EMS (1) to CCG4 (1) using SPI and then from CCG4 (1) to CCG4 (2) using USB Type-C. Since SPI and USB protocols are different, does the CCG4 provide data conversion or an additional MCU is required?
Show LessWe are looking for a solution for Type C USB 3.0 Channel Configuration to be operated as DP ALT(Alternate Mode) with the below 2 cases pf operation. The end application is a device which will be compatible with both
1. Mobile Cell phones with DP support (CASE 1) : For the Phones with DP support we need the USB in DP alt mode(DP signals over SS lines) to be connected to DP to MIPI driver.
2. Mobile Cell phones without DP support ( CASE 2): However for non DP phones the USB should act as USB SS Lines and we are using a USB to DP converter and then DP to MIPI.
We are looking at the USB Type C port controller from Infineon/ Cypress Semiconductors – CYPD3120 , However we want a switchable functionality to support both the above scenario. can this IC support or give any interrupt to implement this functionality.
We do not have battery in our device and will not require charging control, so if there is any solution with only CC control for Alt mode DP detection.

Hello
I have a question on WLC1115 datasheet (002-34241 Rev*B. page#1).
on my understanding, WLC1115 can support USB legacy charging protocol like QC2.0/3.0 and AFC.
however, as described note on datasheet, "Customer MUST acquire the licensing for QC2.0/3.0 and AFC."
I would like to understand this sentence. Does it mean customer already should have some license for QC2.0/3.0 and AFC? if customer don't have a license about that, Does it mean customer MUST get the license about QC2.0/3.0 or AFC? otherwise, customer can't use the QC2.0/3.0 and AFC?
is my understanding correct?
Regards,
Jake

What is the format for the markings on CYPD2103-20FNXIT and CYPD2103-14LHXIT component packages?
I found package information @ https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/packages/.
I can't seem to find the package marking information that would identify how lot codes, date codes and part numbers are marked on each package.
There appears to be a document, "Lead-Free Standard Marking Format", referenced in Community Post, "Top Part Product Marking decipher key for SOIC 8 packages" @ https://community.infineon.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/Top-Part-Product-Marking-decipher-key-for-SOIC-8-packages/ta-p/252077. Unfortunately, the link to "Lead-Free Standard Marking Format" is no longer valid.
There's another post from Cypress, "Differentiate 2020 MARK date codes from 2010 MARK date codes for FLASH Memory Products - KBA230044" @ https://community.infineon.com/t5/Knowledge-Base-Articles/Differentiate-2020-MARK-date-codes-from-2010-MARK-date-codes-for-FLASH-Memory/ta-p/250300. This post appears to describe the shipping label rather than the part marking.
