Hi, 

Need to know how we can pass a custom message/command to sink controller from source side. I,e DFP to UFP after cable plugged in. We are looking for a solution(a way) to inform sink side controller to swap the Tx/Rx whenever source Flips the USB cable. We had a limitation in our design by not having a X-bar to map the channel on USB-C cable flip so now we patch up  we want to instruct sink to change the x-bar setting.

I have the CCG3PA (CYPD3171) configured as a sink-only device. It is connected to a PD source with two "Fixed Supply" and one "Battery"-type supply (so 3 PDOs total). Using EZ-PD Configuration Utility, I've created and programmed "Sink PDO 1" to match the "Battery" source PDO, because I prefer the CCG3PA sink to select the "Battery" PDO. I am required to have "Sink PDO 0" to specify 5V Fixed Supply because it is a required default, even though I don't want the 5V PDO.

Questions:
1. How do I get my CCG3PA sink to select the Battery PDO from the source (3rd source PDO)? It kept on selecting the first source PDO, which is the Fixed 5V. As I can see from the EZ-PD Analyzer (please see attached screenshot), the source's Battery PDO data (right side of the screenshot) is matching with my Sink PDO 1 (left side of the screenshot). Still, I could not get CCG3PA sink to pick the Battery PDO.

2. From my screenshot, I've noticed that  EZ-PD Analyzer reports the source in units of 50mV and 250mW, but EZ-PD Configuration Utility reports the sink in units of 1mV and 1mW. Is this a bug or what is correct? Perhaps this mismatch is causing my problem described in question #1?

customer has a question about D+ voltage level for Apple Charging 2.1 A using CCG3PA.

how to increase D+'s voltage to meet 2.7V for apple charging by firmware ? now level is under 2.7V

As you can see the title, I wanna get a source code for CYPD3120-40LQXI operates as a Sink adapter.

Can I get a source code in this community?

I guess it would be work to change to hpd pin's direction, but it don't work.

So, I wanna find a core source or key of the role swapping.

Maybe hpd_receive_init related to this problem?

Is it possible to run this device off a (nominal ) 5V DC supply and turn off the Type-PD functionality of this device leaving only the Type-C functionality (at 3A) and the legacy functionality (e.g. USB BC 1.2 etc).

Or possibly restricting the PD advertising to 15W  (5V 3A) whilst providing the Type-C and Legacy charging capability as stated above?

I am designing a DRP application, which can be used as a power provider or a power consumer.

as shown below.

The requirement is to support PD3.1 and extended power range (EPR).

It can be seen from the official website that PMG1-S3 meets the requirements. But it is out of stock. Is this chip in commercial use?

Are there any other chips that can be used instead?

Apple's 140W charger uses CYPD3135, but the datasheets of CYPD3135 only support PD3.0. Is it a customized update? So we should not be able to use it?
