Hello.
My customer is preparing 140W EPR Adapter development. They want to know whether CY4500 supports EPR feature.
I known CY4500 can see EPR packet but it can't decode EPR. Right?
If no, Do you have the update plan supporting EPR analyzer?
The output voltage of 140W adapter is maximum 28V. Is there no problem for electrical specification?
Regards.
Robert.
Show Lesshi Community,
i have a requirement of making type c source where i am using a ccg3pa , it works as pd source and sink but when non pd sink is connected my ccg3pa is dropping the vbus, coming to the setup in our product ccg3pa is connected to external power supply where i see in debug mode when a non pd sink is connected , after aprox. 10 sec code hit to ''app_event_handler'' setting event as "APP_EVT_PE_DISABLED", which also travel through "APP_EVT_DISCONNECT" where i kept to drop the vbus command to external power supply as APP_EVT_DISCONNECT is the event indicating that there is a physical detach.
can you indicate where exactly i need to keep command sending external power supply to drop the vbus or based on which variable i need to drop vbus ?
From my observation correct me if i am wrong ,when there is physical detach code flow will come to disconnect event and handle the cc lines before that only ccg3pa is dropping the vbus
path when detach event occurs :
can you guide me through code flow where exactly will the vbus be dropped when there is physical detaches when ccg3pa is acting as source.?
thanks & regards,
Bhargav.
Show LessDear all,
For a project i would like to write data which was retrieved from analog input to a custom i2c register.
Are there any i2c registers which can be used for custom data? and how would i be able to write to them?
The chip which i am using is a CYPD4126.
(edit: the data must be stored in the register so it can be read using an external mcu)
Kind regards,
hbCIN
Show LessHello,
We have an USB C application based on the PMG1-S1 DRP application example.
Our application is a power source (DR source port) but with a data role swap (DFP).
By design the hardware can only source current on VBUS (charger).
In the application example the PMG1-S1 alternates sleeping and running sessions.
The question is how to get the current PD status (existing valid PD contract, UFP or DFP port and data direction checking)?
If the data direction is not correct, the PMG1-S1 will have to ask for a Data Role swap.
it is not obvious how to get these information from the PD middleware each time the PMG1-S1 wakes up.
Does PMG1-S3 and CCG7DC support SWD version 2?
The CY4541 EVK has a CYPD4225 but the available code examples only support the CYPD4226
In order to have control over the consumer FET, I discovered after much troubleshooting that I need to change the VBUS_FET_INTERNAL_CTRL config from 1 to 0. From my understanding this is because the two silicon versions internally handle FET control differently.
Are there any other changes I need to make in order to run the 4226 Notebook example on the CY4541 EVK? Using a 4225 example project does not appear to be an available option as shown in the attached screen shot. Custom HW will use the 4226.
Thank you

Hi,
We are looking into a simple Sink and Rebroadcast PD C to C solution
Not sure what IC will be most suited to handle inbound Power adapter profiles from universally available adapters ranging from 24-100watt and passing through the power profiles and rebroadcasting them less whatever set amount of power we are taking away from the source (in our case we need to steal 10watt to a DC jack and rebroadcast the rest back on a standard C port...
looking accomplish this task in small form factor so dual port IC would be best r with CCg3/4/6/7

Show LessHello,
I'm trying see how to get PPS working with CYPD3171 (CY4532 EZ-PD EVM). I'm using EZ-PD CCGx Power SDK 3.5.
I'm seeing some info in this thread
I have several questions
1. Is the exampled pps_request_handler() function supposed to be called by user application when it wants a specific voltage?
2. I don't see reference to "receive_src_pdo", and I'm wondering if I could use data from dpm_status->src_pdo?
Thank you in advance.

Show Less1. The customers want to know the method of OCP and SCP protection.
( ex: use internal OPA ? how to achieve protection by HW and FW? )
2. if modifying OCP trigger point or debounce time, will it affect SCP behave?
