USB EZ-PD™ Type-C Forum Discussions

The Win10 CY4500 Analyzer 4.0.0 installer doesn't appear to include a driver for the hardware.  Neither does the Firmware update utility or the support section on the CY4500 product page.  There's clearly no driver or driver installer utility. 

Other Infineon customers have reported this same problem for v4.0.0 and for earlier versions.  There are responses over the years from tech support claiming that 4.0.0 and 3.1 include a driver.  However, customers have clearly proven that no such driver has been included.  Also, support has said over the years that they'll release a driver shortly but unfortunately that never happened.  If a driver indeed exists we'd like to see evidence of this. 

Could someone please provide the filename and a link where it can be downloaded?  And an explanation for the community as to why Infineon as chosen not to include include drivers or a driver installer utility with their software, including the latest 4.0.0 software.  And why the CY4500 user manual and Quick Start guide are contain wrong and misleading info in this regard. 

This is a poor first impression for a customer.  The level of apathy seems worse than at TI.  Thanks.

I have question about document of CCG series Application Note.

I think CCG5 has integrated PFET Gate Driver for VBUS.

Table 1 of AN210403 states "No", but is this a typo? ?

We refer to CCG3PA datasheet to try to know CCG3PA power consumption.

but it only mentions about typical values measured at "VDDD = 5.0V"

What is the current consumption at "VDDD = 3.3V" ???

Our project will use two SCB and Type-PD function and GPIOs.

I got a pmg1-s3 hex file from cusotmer side, i would like to provide it and checksum to IC-programming factory

1. Open hex file by TXT edit, how to know the checksum value? attached is hex file.

2. another question, how to use cymcuelftool.exe to generate a hex file that contain checksum value?

I have two questions of PMG1 PoR.

1.At what timing does the power on reset enter?

Perhaps you want to force the EZ-PD™ PMG1-S1 MCU device to reset if the voltage drops below a preset level.

2.Does PoR turn on when the power is turned on?
Is it possible that the Power On Reset is not activated due to the startup speed of the power supply?

We would like to use Host SDK 3.6 to develop two ports type-c  of intel Meteor Lake platform.

We check FW - topDesign, the CCG6DF has two interrupt pins (AR_INT_P1 and AR_INT_P2) to notify SoC about type c port connection status changing.

but customer check intel RVP, the two interrupt pins of CCG6DF are short together and then connected to SOC( GPP_A21_PMC_ALERT#).

1. so both of  interrupt pins are short together is correct?

2. Does SDK3.6 FW support the short-circuit behavior of two interrupts?

3. Or just need one interrupt to connect to SOC ?
