Up until today, I've been able to program firmware onto my CCG3A through CC line as well as the Miniprog3. All of a sudden, I am getting the following error:

Program Finished at 11:39:04 AM                                |

                                                                | FAILED! Timeout of SROM polling. Lost communication with chip.

                                                                | Please, check the following items:

                                                                |  - the connection between the programmer and the PSoC;

                                                                |  - the correct programming protocol is selected;

                                                                |  - the correct connector option is selected.

I've checked all the settings but have not had any luck. I also tried the suggestion in the FAQ regarding reprogramming the CC bootloader but with the same results. Has anyone else had this problem? Did I somehow brick my main board?

I have a custom power bank circuit that is using a CYPD3171 chip. When using an Apple PD supply of any wattage, there is a soft reset message that occurs on the CC log. This happens after the source sends Discover Identity. It appears that the sink is not responding to this message and the source times out and resets. This does not occur with other brand PD supplies. I am using the CYPD3171-24LQXQ_pb_3_3_0_1882_0_0_0_pb.hex file if this helps. I have attached a screenshot of my CC log.

I would like to use the 45W car charger reference design but with only a max of 30W PD profile. How may I obtain a hex file for this to only provide 30W?

I have tried to find some available pins to map to a UART (or I2C) on the CY4532 EVK. Unless, I'm missing something, there don't seem to be any good candidates when using the EVK. One possibility that I did explore was using pins 5,6 (DP1, DM1)for tx/rx which worked as a UART but it created problems with USB C PD operation using the Power SDK. I am not using the USB A port so I tied into TP13 and TP14.

If anyone has done this successfully, please share what you did.

Could you please offer me SDK exmaple project for "EZ-PD™ CCG2 USB Type-C to HDMI Adapter Solution"?

Currently I'm using "monitor" project for CCG2 which is too big for a simple HDMI adapter project.

In order to reduce the image size so that I can combine CC bootloader with it into the final image, I prefer to use the lighter solution.

Your help would be highly appreciated.

What is the typical power consumption of the CCG4 in "idle" mode:  That is, not asleep, but with no USB connections made?   Note:  We are seeing ~10mA.  it is our understanding that the CCG4 needs to wake up every ~20 ms, and stay awake for ~ 5ms.  In this state, we would see an average current of ~2.5mA.  Are these number accurate?  Is there a way to consume less power (when no USB cables are plugged in).

I brought a CY4521 kit from Cypress store, and got it today. The Order number is 1383701. I try to test my FW which modify from CYPD2122-24LQXI_notebook project, I programming my FW by EZ-PD Configuration Utility several times without problem, but the last time the programming was fail and interrupted, I don't know the reason why, there are not any hardware issue like USB cable unpluged or loss power when programming FW. After that, the EZ-PD Configuration Utility can not find CY4521 anyway that I cannot program CY4521. I try press reset button and re-power to CY4521, but the EZ-PD Configuration Utility still can not find CY4521, this CY4521 might be malfunction, please help me fix this problem, or this CY4521 need to RMA? This is very serious and urgent, I can not develop my FW without CY4521, please Cypress help me fix this problem.

Does Cypress have any USB Power Delivery examples or Reference Designs that utilize Analog Devices components?
