Show LessHello RajathB_01/All,
I'm using ccg3pa for my application development.
I need control to Enable/Disable PD Functionality and BC1.2 functionality.
only need any one of the state machine to run at a given time.
Is there any library function available such that by using that function i need to Disable PD functionality of ccg3pa.
My exact requirement is to test BC1.2 functionality of any provider only DUT which has PD and BC1.2 functionality .
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Pranay.
Show LessWe have the CYPD3125 setup as a DRP. We supply Vsys (3.3V) to the 3125 when our product is turned on. When we turn off we still want power supplied to the product for charging the battery. When we're sinking 5V from the USBC connector (from a USB2.0 connector) and we turn off our product so that VSYS goes away, we see Vddd droop until it switches over to VBUS and then it returns to 3.3V. But before it switches over it turns off the consumer path FETs so that we lose power to our battery charger. Here's the trace:
You can see Vddd droop with Vsys until it switches over to the internally regulated Vbus.
Is there a way to keep the consumer path (Switched VBUS) from shutting down?
After a few 100ms we will sometimes see the consumer path turn back on but often the CYPD3125 doesn't seem to be executing code (we have a flashing LED indicating that software is running on the 3125).
Thanks,
Mark
Dear,
I encountered some problems when making HUB project using CYPD4236 of CCG4.
After my PR_SWAP, a soft reset message appeared.
Compared with the commercially available HUB, the message is as shown below.
When I encounter this problem, how can I modify it?
Thanks.
Show LessHello. I have a question.
I draw fx3.0 schematics with USB3.0 TYPE-C.
https://community.cypress.com/docs/DOC-10403
below schematics, "TX1-(A3) of J9" is connected " TXP2 (15) of U12 ". Is it right?
Why "TX-" is connected with "TXP2" ?
Please answer my question.

Show LessHi!
We have had some problem to support 20V/5A in our solution due to the challenge of practically implementing an exact current-protection at 5A. On one hand we need to support up to 5A so that certain laptops don't complain that there is not enough power, on the other hand for our CE-certification, Intertek compains that we should absolutely not provide more than 5A before over-current protection happends.
Is there any guidance in regards to which margins are available here? Or the hardware and software implementation needs to ensure that we hit 5.00A as max current?
Cheers
Olof
Show LessHi, I'm looking into using the CY4533 as a power barrel replacement and also use it's internal USB transceiver. Unfortunately there is no information in the datasheet about the use of the USB C Transceiver part. THe CY4533 kit has just a power component and no USB connections. The connections D- and D+ have a comment "leave unconnected".
Where can I find some more information about the Transceiver part of the CY4533?
Thanks, Paul
Show LessHi!
I know that PPS (source) is available in the SDK/lib for CYPD317x, but which other SKUs? We use CYPD4226 and CYPD312x and there is no support as far as we can see. We need to add PPS source to our dual-port dock design. Are there any dual-port SKU that supports PPS source on both ports?
Cheers
Olof
