I want to connect CY4531(DFP) and CY4531(UFP) and comunicate VDM custom command.
DFP side send following code. I refered to CCGx_FW_UserGuide.pdf
dpm_pd_command(port, DPM_CMD_SEND_VDM, &cmd_buf, pd_command_cb)
please tell me How to get VDM custom command at UFP?
Do I 'm able to use "dpm_get_info" command?
Please let me know if there is any reference document.
Hi Everyone,
I want to customize CY6611 EZ-USB HX3PD Evaluation board. In addition to USB hub, I want to integrate a small circuit that can be used to operate dynamixel servo. Is it possible to do that ? If yes, can you give some important points that need to be considered for doing the same.
Thanks

Show LessI'm having trouble with the CCG3 resetting during startup. I used a GPIO (pin 28) and oscilloscope to track it down and VDDD (pin 17) drops about 1 V about 3 ms after the call to dpm_start(0) returns. At this point in time, VDDD is provided by the internal LDO from VBUS (pin 31). VBUS is 5 V and I don't see any drop. dpm_start(0) is called in the main function before the task loop. I added a delay, so nothing else was running in software at this time.
I tried cutting traces until the problem went away and it was VBUS_C_CTRL (pins 29, 30) that caused the problem to go away. So, it seems like the FET drivers might be part of the problem.
I didn't have any problems until the latest boards we built. Was there a change in the chip to either the internal LDO or the FET drivers? Should I be using a different FET? Any idea what might be the problem?
I'm using a CYPD3120-40LQXI. My FETs are DMN3018SSD-13. My schematic is very similar to Figure 15 in the datasheet (002-03288_EX-PD_CCG3).
I have 10 μF on VBUS, 1.2 μF on VDDD. VDDIO is connected to VDDD. I have 10 MΩ to ground on pins 29 and 30.
Show LessHi,
I am evaluating CY6611 EZ-USB HX3PD for a particular application that requires integration of a usb hub, USB PD and controller circuit for a peripheral device (servo).
The idea is to have a single USB wire for connection to PC and eliminate the need for external power adaptor or power supply.
Is this possible with CY6611 EZ-USB HX3PD?
Does it work without 19V external supply?
Can we use US port on CY6611 as a sink to power the USB hub and also supply 12V for the peripheral circuit (more specifically servo)?
Thanks,
Nilufar

I am trying to open a PSoC Creator project for the CCG3PA and it reports that the CCG3PA is an outdated device. PSoC Creator 4.4 even lists the CCG3PA in the new features, so I am confused why the program is complaining that the CCG3PA is an outdated device.

Hello.
This is the USB4 cable I purchased.
The cable information of this product was conf irmed using CY4500.
The result is displayed in this message USB_3_1_GEN1_GEN2 instead of USB4.
Why is the cable, which is a USB IF certified product, unable to display the USB4 message on the CY4500 protocol analyzer?

Hello,
Is this an error in the CCG6DF and CCG6SF datasheet (table 5 and table 40)... Operating Ambient Temperature = -40C to +55C?
+55C seems very low!!
Refer to attached datasheet or following link.
https://www.cypress.com/file/500276/download
All other CCG families speficy an operating ambient temperature range of -40C to 85C for Industrial grade (I) and up to 105C for Extended Industrial grade (Q).
Thanks!
Show LessHello!
I have the cy4531 ez-pd ccg3 evaluation kit.
I wanted to know if there is a possibility to use it to work in this way:
To type C I connect a tablet, and to type B I connect a mouse (for example), then when the power supply is connected, the tablet will charge, and when the power supply is disconnected - the mouse will get its power from the tablet battery?
Hello,
I am currently trying to automate the Programming of a CYPD6125 via SWD.
Using the GUI it works perfectly fine.
In the command line it shows "Device is not in ISSP mode" when I try to Start.
I've seen someone had the same problem in this forum, but there was no solution in the thread.
I use following commands for the setup:
GetPorts
OpenPort "MiniProg3/1839CA00030B" "C:/Program Files (x86)/Cypress/Programmer/"
HEX_ReadFile "K:\\PROJEKTE\\USB-C\\Intel_EHL_CCG6_Fw_v2_0_CYPD6125.hex"
SetProtocol 8 //SWD
SetProtocolConnector 0 //5-Pin-Connector
SetAcquireMode “Reset”
SetProtocolClock 152 //1,6MHz
SetPowerVoltage 3.3
PowerOn
DAP_AcquireChip
Erase //Here the Error Shows
The CLI-User-Guide doesn't really give any further information about the behavior.
