Hello. I have a question.

I draw fx3.0 schematics with USB3.0 TYPE-C.

https://community.cypress.com/docs/DOC-10403

below schematics, "TX1-(A3) of J9"  is connected " TXP2 (15) of U12  ". Is it right?

Why "TX-" is connected with "TXP2" ?

Please answer my question.

Hi ,

If you are designing the Type-C receptacle, below points should be noticed:

1. Type-C receptacle should be make sure the TX from Type-C receptacle wire to TX of USB Host/Device and RX from Type-C receptacle wire to RX of USB Host/Device.

2. Type-C receptacle side should be responsible for CC orientation detection.

All of reason is: Type-C to Type-C cable will swap RX and TX internal as per type-C cable specification.

So that, your question, the answer is BOTH of them are correct, since the TX1 and TX2 will be selected as per CC. ether RX1 and RX2.

Best Regards,

Lisa

J9 (TX2+ #B2) ---------U12 (TXP1 #19)

J9 (TX2- #B3) ---------U12 (TXN1 #18)

J9 (TX1- #A3) ---------U12 (TXP2 #15)

J9 (TX1+ #A2) ---------U12 (TXN2 #14)

J9 (RX2+ #A11) ---------U12 (RXP1 #17)

J9 (RX2- #A10) ---------U12 (RXN1 #16)

J9 (RX1- #B10) ---------U12 (RXP2 #13)

J9 (RX1+ #B11) ---------U12 (RXN2 #12)

Are this connections right? Please confirm it.

https://www.cypress.com/documentation/development-kitsboards/cy4531-ez-pd-ccg3-evaluation-kit

I saw the this board schematic because of C-Type.

"A2 - TX1P"

"A3 - TX1N"

"B2 -TX2P"

"B3 - TX2N"

"B11 - RX1P"

"B10 - RX1N"

"A11 - RX2P"

"A10 - RX2N"

https://community.cypress.com/docs/DOC-10403

The connection here is different from the description above.

"A2 - TX2N"

"A3 - TX2P"

"B2 - TX1P"

"B3 - TX1N"

"B11 - RX2N"

"B10 - RX2P"

"A11 - RX1P"

"A10 - RX1N"

Which one is right?

Please let us know.

Thanks.
